Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 (Part 1) - Brothers in Arms
Ойындар
Eight days after the drop in Normandy, Sgt. Matt Baker regains consciousness at Hill 30 a changed man. He is prepared to die...
Welcome to Let's Play: Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30. This is the first game in the Brothers in Arms series. I never really finished this before as I found it too hard, but I decided to give it another shot after completing Hell's Highway.

I played this when I was 6 or so. At the time I wasn't a tactical player because I didn't know what tactics were, so I just kept Assaulting them. I replayed the game and now my main tactic is flanking.

I played this as a foetus Not so good memories
My father was 101st Airborne back then. He used to tell stories about being pinned down and starving in the siege of Bastogne. This was the first piece of media I'd ever partaken in that really put a third dimension to the stories he used to tell about the war, D-Day, Bastogne and all of it. Its obviously just a game, but all those years after my old man died, playing Road to Hill 30 made me wonder...did he see some of those places depicted in the game firsthand? Did he walk some of those same roads I've since seen in old footage of the places he occasionally talked about? I was awfully young when my old man passed away (and he was awfully old when I was born), but it was Road to Hill 30 that made me realize, in just a small way and for the first time, what it might've been for men like my father to be there. I've never been able to forget that feeling, and I hope I never do.

naiasonod that’s amazing may I ask how old was your dad when he had you and passed ? And thank you for his service

@@moffe5241 idk man, my dad's been dead since 1988, so you're gonna have one hell of a time getting any proof. On the other hand ,whether or not you believe me doesn't change a thing, and what I had to say doesn't ask you to give me anything or alter your behavior in any way. So what is your belief worth exactly, and why should I care if you believe me or not?
@naiasonod

Your opinion adds nothing, invites no conversation and edifies nobody. I'm not mad at you. I'm confused by the pointlessness of your even commenting in the first place. What is there to even be angry about; some random person on the internet doesn't believe my unprovable anecdote? What am I supposed to do with that information, exactly? What's your goal here?
@naiasonod

I really don't care. Go talk to yourself. That's all you were doing in the first place, and I see no reason to be involved as some sort of audience to your self-addressed, and utterly pointless, diatribe about how you don't believe everything you see on the internet. Good for you, I guess?

I played the intro at least 100 times. Never knew the game kept going I thought I just kept losing...
I loved this game as a child, this was my first FPS and realistic game I played. The story and the gameplay was amazing to me :')
What a legendary game! they should make more games like this, it was the only war game that was emotional. wish it was on next gen! lol
Hey look! My childhood, best part is... I still fucking have the game!!! : D

Lucky! Do they sell a HD edition for ps3 or no?
Réaliste, tactique, unique, un jeu excellent qui mériterait un remake. C'était mon FPS préféré, et en plus ça se passe en France 💕
Brings back so many memories
I had all BIA's. The two on Ps2 sadly broke... I'd play them again. Best war game ever made. It get's you into it like you're actually in WWII, well.. for me it does, don't you about you people. I loved all 3 and I was great at it. I've completed Road to Hill 30 on Hard. That's something I'd do again one day. If this is on STEAM, I'll buy it.
Me and my uncle used to play this. R.I.P Virgil.
I only recently started getting in war fps and this series is the most authentic i have yet to play.
My childhood! Got this in 2005 and in glad I can play it every summer on ps2! This game is fucking amazing
WOW... This first scene is so badass...
I watch these for nostalgia. I used to play the shit out of the brothers in arms series. The good ol' days.
Sgt. Baker's parents divorced, so did mine when I was just a baby, barely born and I would LOVE to serve my country as a sailor on the reserves hopefully. I want to redeem myself for not being ready for the army and being discharged from basic training but I've been given another chance!
I remember playing this in 06-07, and I just found out that Matt Baker is Troy Baker.

This game was so fucking awesome. Everyone involve in this project did a great job.
I think I`ve watched this walkthrough about four times brilliant video.
a game that actually captured some of the horror of war, hasn't been one since IMO
Another good ass game me n my friend use to play on the old ass xbox back in the day ❤
they should remaster this in all PlayStation & Xbox consoles I never played the game before but it looks awesome

I think this is the unofficial video game for Band of Brothers TV series. I love it!
same, this game along with the other Brothers in Arms' (apart from furious 4) were incredibly realistic, and that part where legget gets killed was the best for me tbh, love how the first level is the last.
In war, not many people who survived. When the first time I show this when I was playing it, I accept it as a good ending, for a soldier who fought bravely at WWII...
You play as Joe Hartsock ni BIA earned in blood..My childhood game I really miss this game
I remember how i was blown away by graphics, but it still looks great, if video was on higher res. it would look really nice :) How i loved this game
i have watched your walktrhough for hill 30 and hells highway many times im watching them both again now
Nostalgic...😢❤️

chanel65269 Is Steam available for new console, or just pc? I did away with my old grey tv, so I'm worried all my old retro PS2 and Xbox games will never be played again. Scart issues. I have several well kept consoles since 2005, and modern flatscreen big tv. I'll buy a PS4 or Xbox One.

fender-bass3 The guy in the shop said Steam is only for PC games. Pretty depressing. Ah well, I'm thinking of switching to PC gaming anyway, like everyone I know personally. I can used hand held controllers for PC I'm told. Cheers anyway.
The NOSTALGIA!
I miss the good ol' gearbox advertisement that is in Road to Hill 30 and not in the other games :(
No more Brothers in arms? the best WWll game ever
I remeber playing thisgame on original xbox. good memories :)
Cheers, mate.
the best war game ever
mac shouting like a boss he is =]
the game of my teens. Memories.
Reminds me a lot of band of brothers now that I look back
@ktwq you rule! brothers in arms FTW!!!
3 mins into the game and I said to myself: "That's it, to the video games store!"
It seems that the amount of WWII games that is released is getting thined out by modern combat games or future combat games - I find that rather sad, since WWII was my "favourite" era of war games. Nice vid anyways!
best game ever along with earned in blood
Sometimes when I played this game, some of ridiculous things I notice: the A.I. always know your every move, I also notice that it tooks only fractions of a millisecond for them to turn the barrels toward you, and the amount of acurracy they put upon you when on the move. It's just unrealistically hard. :(
Mann I miss this game so much :(
brothers in arms rocks!
Dude the good ole days lol.
Haven't played a single minute of Call of Duty since I played Road to Hill 30 when it came out. Really changed everything, didn't it?? Hope the next one comes out soon.. Battle of the Bulge I reckon.
Good memories..
This is so much better than hells highway and even than, looking back on it wasn't a terrible game in its own right. We need moar BoA

I actually preferred Hell's Highway. I thought the story and gameplay was a bit more refined. But hey, each to his own. RTH30 was the game that started it all, and it was a brilliant game in its own right And all you BIA fans out there will be glad to know this: After Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Gearbox has announced a new game. Working title . . . Brothers In Arms: Battle of the Bulge! It will mainly focus on the Siege of Bastogne and the final push into Germany itself. Baker's story will conclude there.
first time i played this i was like: no health packs ? REALISTIC!!
i remember playing this game for the first time... its was one of the best WWII games i had ever played, i hope gearbox doesn't fuck things up.
best opining sequence evar
This was one sad game, and a more realistic war game too.
We need one for next gen!

@Zaccanter i completely agree with you he would be an awesome character in hells highway
Fuck yea brothers in arms
best ww2 shooter
Damn it Uncle Phil don't ruin it.
whats the next game in the brothers in arms series after this
@arm1207 A couple of web sites say its release dates were May and Jun 2004 so i think its 2004. Soldiers Heroes of WW2 is really good and highly recommended even if 7 years ago. I have playd COH, Battle Field, AirBorne series etc and still love Soldiers. Different experience to BIA series. Soldiers is more a hybrid giving you COH view angle but with FPS capability and Battlefield (driveable vehicles and gun placements). No other game like it. Above all its also realistic not arcade like.
@MrGunnyboddy oh oops... i was bit wrong but Road to Hill 30 was first then Earned in Blood and the newest is Hells Highway...
@fisticklover1 it really doesn't matter because after this scene you go back to the beginning of the story.
@TheGTAPlay Lucky! I started playing this when I was eleven.
man this game was for the ps2 i wish i could play this game again one of my favs
@squirrel1068 I guess they only mention him because he's the only one who wanted to die and he's the only one who died the way he did.
Thanks
Which game do you think is more sad: Heavy rain, or the Brothers in Arms series?
Yes.
Welcome =)
Where can i hear the music fir this?
mocna igra :D
@nikola4dabic What card exactly do you have?
how did you get this to play on pc?

Hey could some one help me? I have the demo of this game and it won't show the menu, videos or when your actually playing! It will show the loading page but not anything else.

earned in blood
does anybody know how to fix it when the hole screen goes black please reply
@13Psycho13 thanks
It Loads up all the pre-screens but i get a black screen on the main screen. how can i fix this? I got the Pc Version. I got direct9c and I got windows Xp. why am i getting the black screen?
Playing Hell's Highway right now, myself. Seems like I gotta get RTH30 and EiB.
Strange... I think I got a glitch. On my PS2 version, no German infantry showed up right in front of the trench. Also when the tank shelled me, I kept repeating the same mission over and over again.
@AlexJFennell I played on the PC, no problems for me.
is this the 1st brothers in arms (the 1st game)
is this the 1 or 2
PC version, Can someone help. I'm debating getting the PC version, I already played the console version. Is there as much hic-up in the PC version (I have a fantastic PC)
