I don't even consider TT as canon to be honest. Throughout the entire series, Kane's focus has always been on the disenfranchised, and was never an alien. I was asked "then how do you explain him being exactly the same age despite the vast time difference?" This was explained in Firestorm as clones. I mean come on EA, did you really have to do that to one of the biggest baddest "bad guys" in video game history???

thats not 100% true, i always saw it that Kane was for once to gain power by using tiberium. in the first game, Kane said he sees tiberium as a way to launch them into a grand future. in Tiberian Sun, when you play as Nod, you discover a crashed alien ship and are told to protect it for the tacitus. Kane gets to understand more about it but GDI butt in and take it so you go on a rescue mission to get it back due to Kane believes it is the key to bringing the vision of his future to reality.

That's true, but he still had the disenfranchised as his primary force. He did have the goal of spreading it as the main focus, so yes I misspoke on that. As far as his interactions with his forces "brothers" and "sisters" he saw them as his children. In TT, well he abandoned NOD and apparently turned out to be an alien....I mean seriously? That's where I take serious issue. The game play of all the Command and Conquer games has been great, but I loved the story. Kane is awesome. TT completely went a different path from the ending of Kane's Wrath. I was so excited at the end of that game! Kane had a bioengineered AI implanted in the Scrin army.....oh the possibilities!!! Then crushed. That's where I am slightly disheartened.

Agreed... EA killed the franchise, specially with that walker bull crap. I enjoyed the walkers from Tiberian Sun and glad the juggernaut got carried over to the third war. Kanes wrath was amazing for the fact it brought the connection stories from Tiberian sun and to the lead up for a great ending. However watching the scenes in Kanes wrath, that one chick initiated Cabal and the story line tends to lead that you as the commander are in fact now a remnant of Cabal. Thus in TT, the eye implant you receive in the starting scene is the same from c&c3. I wish the game could get a reboot. Was the best game ever

8:20 - 9:35 was undoubtedly my very first WHAT THE FUCK moment in all of gaming, and I'll never forget it. RIP Westwood :(

C&C was not the first RTS. Dune 2 was, which was made by Westwood Studios.

Command and Conquer... the only game I've bought for the N64, late 90s PC, mid-2000s PC, and again for modern 2018 PCs... I'm addicted.

GDI are cool as a faction, but they never had much personality. Even the Allies had Einstein and Tanya in RA1.

Something that I thought was awesome in the Mammoth Mk II mission in Tiberian Sun was that I always found it easiest to attack with a squadron of Banshees, then the victory cinematic showed Banshees destroying it!

That mission is abused with that tactic, now when I play, I at least try to build a force and attack it to make it fair.

Kane actually keeps Seth's body in a tube to remind people of treachery's price.

Nod almost won in Renegade. The Temple of Nod you infiltrate has the net-runner "buggy cockpits", and it is also in a desert terrain (the last GDI mission in Tiberian Dawn, where you destroy Temple Prime in Sarajevo, is a grassy terrain. Hence the Renegade Temple must be in Africa, like in the Nod ending of Tiberian Dawn)

Actually if memory serves, the basic idea was that the campaigns did coexist within the storyline, or at least the NOD ION Cannon attack is within the story of GDI. General Shepard just manages to clean his reputation at the last minute, GDI gets it's proverbial poop together and manages to mount an attack on Sarajevo. I might be remembering wrong thought, it's been over ten years since I touched the original :)

Well, I think that most of the NOD story is canon, except for the ending. The NOD ending pretty much puts an end to GDI, leaving the world at Kane's hands.

According to what I see. Tiberium Dawn Nod Campaign is canon up until the final mission. South Africa is a Blue Zone in CnC3 so we don't know if it was claimed and then recaptured or it just never happened however we know the White House wasn't hit by the Ion Cannon strike.

The Black Hand always seem to be aware of this. I am talking about the Real Black Hand by General Slavik. The problem with Nod command structure that I don't like is that each commander is free to operate as they see fit and report directly to the Inner Circle. This allows each commander to take initiative but gives them too much freedom in command structure hence why every time Kane dies, commanders go rogue and do whatever.

All the uploads on KZread seem to lack cutscenes for some of the alternative mission for NOD, like the Orca mission which you can choose instead of the one with the villagers.

So ridiculous seeing a MkII get taken out by a few shots from a couple Banshees @42:02. The MkII must have had 1 bar of health left for this to happen. EDIT: I didn't notice before, but as the Banshee shots make impact (42:03), you can see the MkII is pretty battered, and has battle damage on it already. So it must have been at it's last bit of health when it took those final hits.

GDI Commando they were originally supposed to be its hard counter, the game is missing a fair few units (and the units present often are lacking their voice lines.) there are a lot of things missing in Tiberian sun and it’s basically an unfinished game (yet it’s still so good anyway)

If only the second game continued where you go to other planets and fight the scrin but unlike Plannetary Annihilation the game play stays like it does in CNC. Then I guess GDI is still left on earth and is slowly expanding out into the solar system to go after NOD. Maybe Legion would still be around on earth to take back earth from the GDI and then GDI have bases on other planets or something just like NOD. Anything would have been better than what EA did to it. Im even cautiously optimistic with EA/Petroglyph remastering the old games only because EA is still marketing it.

Plus Seth was leaving hints that he was eventually going to coup Kane and become the leader hints like "even your mission is so top secrete, even Kane doesn't know of it." Kane was killing a traitor and did it before it bit him in his ass.
