Thank you! I've been looking for the Basics to embroider a patch and this was just what I was looking for!!! I have an SE400 and you showed me just how use the machine controls to make the patches from the beginning from choosing a shape, basting it down, adding the design and then finalizing with the satin stitch. No other videos showed this. I am So grateful!!! :)
I’m having fun rewatching all these older vids of yours. Brings back some nice memories of when I was fairly new to machine embroidery and first “met” you. OMGosh. Lol

This was a great instructional video on how to make a patch.. Just had someone who wants me to do a monogram on their purse.. I can't do it because it is a pocket and too small.. I suggested a patch.. so now I can play around and figure out what I want to do.. Thank you for showing this!
Thank you! I was very frustrated trying to figure out all the setup as I do patch sewing for the Detention Center and now that need embroidery names on the shirts. Now I can you are a blessing.
Thank you. That was very helpful. I’m new at this and need simple explanations. I appreciated your video so much.

Thank you! :)
I am just a little curious how this holds up after washing as you are ironing the heat and bond onto the paper stabilizer and not onto the material. I would think once it is washed the patch would come off because the paper does not hold up to washings.
Thank you! I was struggling trying to figure out how people were getting the initial outline to trim around before doing the actual framing.

Yes, I had that same mental block this video very helpful will give it a go!!
Mine is a Brother SE 535. I love to do applique but unfortunately do not have a lot offered on my machine. I only have a 4x4 hoop area to sew on even though the hoop measures 5x7. it only does 4x4. so, I have a lot of trouble finding applique to fit in my hoop.
Question: Why couldn't you just put the regular circle down and skip the tack down circle? Doing it all at one time. Wouldn't this be quicker?
Podrá enviar más vídeos de cómo bordar con esta máquina 425. Gracias.
I would use a cigarette lighter to melt the ragged edge.

Great idea! I thought of using my wood burning tool to apply heat but not everyone has one of those but lighters are really easy to come by! Thank you for the awesome tip 💛💛💛💛🤗🤗🤗
Is that the best that machine can do on the outer edge stitching? It looks pretty sparse in places. I'm watching because I'm trying to decide which machine to buy in my "home shop". I'm not a business so I don't have unlimited funds. Thanks for the demo.

These smaller machines are great starter machines I have had the SE400 for many many years I love it But I also have the PE770 Bigger area to embroidery but I still love my 400 It just depends on what you want to
I'm just really trying to find out how to see our adjust your color for stitching in the embroidery setting

I’m not really sure what you’re asking.

@@CleverDogDesigns Can yo udesign the patch or does it have some app digitally, or even an image, then it makes the patch as long as the cartidges I assume have en oguh colored string? Nothing too complex, just black and white was my idea.

@@LS-jk3fk I recently purchased an se625. It has a 4x4 hoop area only. If you are looking to go bigger you have a lot to learn and research for bigger hoops machines. Also, you will need to research the embroidery editing and separate digitizing programs. Many are quite pricy which is what kept me from purchasing a machine for many years. Look into SewWhat Pro and SewArt before you purchase ANY machine.
Do you need to do the tack down twice?

CleverDog Designs can you use that machine to make eyes to look like talking Angela?

You’ll have to get a file digitized and transfer it to the machine but the machine itself doesn’t have that design.

I hadn’t before your question but I looked it up.
What do you suggest on how to get the white raw edge out of the satin stitch?
@CleverDogDesigns
6 жыл бұрын
It’s not that noticeable to me but if it bothers you, I would try tweezers or using a same color marker to fill in any spots they show. You can also use a water soluble stabilizer and you don’t have to worry about any white sticking out. Hope that was helpful.

CleverDog Designs Was wondering about water-soluble. Would you still add heat & bond to back?

Yes, just make sure you use the parchment paper sandwich 😊
