Brother of the bride will make you cry 😭😭 Extravagant Sparrow Wedding in Stillwater

Maria and Bennett’s wedding was extravagant in every way possible. As soon as we walked into the venue, our jaws dropped. George, The Fleuriste, had created a masterpiece. The hanging flowers above the dance floor took our breath away. Seriously, it was hard to comprehend what was going on in front of us. Not to mention the decor being perfect, but Maria and Bennett, they were even better. Every time we talked to them leading up to the wedding, it was so calm and peaceful. Maria was always so easy to work with, and always so helpful in making sure that we had everything we needed.
The night before the wedding, we drove out to Stillwater to film the rehearsal dinner. We have to stop here for a second and say we love when we get to do a rehearsal dinner. Not only are the speeches at the rehearsal pure gold, but it gives us more time to connect with the families of both the bride and groom. The speeches at Maria and Bennett’s rehearsal were so sweet. Especially from Bennett’s mother, and Maria’s brother. We can’t wait for you to see them in the video!
Ok, now back to the wedding day itself. The weather, let’s just say it wasn’t ideal. It poured rain all day long. But that didn’t make Maria or Bennett upset. They just kept smiling and went on with their day like nothing. I seriously can’t put into words how easy it was to work with these two. I know some people (myself included) might have been a bit bummed out by the rain, but they just embraced it. Luckily, it stopped for just a bit after the ceremony so we could grab some video and photo.
Let’s talk a little about this wedding and reception. The Sparrow in Stillwater is gorgeous. Such a big open space to create magic, and that is exactly what they did. The flowers, the cake, the decor, all amazingly put together by Southern Charm Events. The Mariachi Band was so awesome! Every single little detail was perfect, and we can not wait to share it with you! Too many amazing moments to write about, we think it would be best to just let you watch the video!

Maureen Pluthero we do too most times! This case they didn’t have time to get all of the photos together after the ceremony due to a tight timeline. So they went for it and we loved it! Guess you didn’t? 😭

Maureen Pluthero…...I have to agree with you. My DH did wedding photography and I don't know when this changed, but it takes a lot of the "amazement" out of that walk down the aisle....I don't understand WHY people do it, I also don't like the bride and groom doing wedding photos PRIOR to the wedding. We always did the group photos....(the bride & her attendants, the bride and her parents etc. the same the groom PRIOR to the ceremony, but they didn't see each other until she walked down the aisle. I also don't care for the fiance' to be with the bride to be when wedding dress shopping. My daughter did a lot of nasty things when she married. She went out with her "girl friends" to find a wedding dress. (although for YEARS she swore she wanted to wear my wedding dress, and hey, I understood her wanting to change her mind and have her own dress....etc.) She hurt her dad and I multiple times during the wedding plans because her BF wanted us to just give them a few blank checks and let them do everything. My DH said "NO" you are the only daughter and it's something you need to do with your mom" So, to be nasty, she let me out of the wedding dress shopping. She then decided that if her dad had an issue with song that she choose for the Daddy/Daughter dance (which was "Daddy's Hands...and hey I know a lot of ppl like that song, but it bothered my DH because he had NEVER EVER spanked or HIT his daughter....not once. So, because she didn't get her way about the song...she waited right up until it was time to do the Daddy/Daughter dance and came over to her father and said "There will be no Daddy/Daughter dance"...and she walked away. I've often wondered if giving her now husband the power to make all the decision for their HILLBILLY wedding was worth it. She got married in a white prom dress in the back yard of her DH's relatives with potluck dishes being brought to the wedding......She could have had a CATERED Wedding and a beautiful Church Ceremony....However, this was only a few of the things she did and has continued to do. Her dad died within a few short years after she married....and I wonder at times if she thinks about the way she hurt her dad.....?????

holiday 2406 What a horrible and sad story. If your daughter has any goodness in her she will regret the way she treated her father on the most important day of your lives for ever. Her actions where of an ungrateful child. The least we can do as daughters is thank our parents for our upbringing with kindness. God bless you and help you heal from your DH’s passing.

Beautiful wedding. Made me cry so beautiful speeches from her brother, sister, mom and the in laws. This is suck a dream wedding. May God bless your marriage. You can truely see how much they love each other and how bless she is to find a family who accept her n welcome her to the family.

Their timeline must of been extremely tight for the bride to agree to dropping probably the best minutes of her wedding day. For some the wedding day is the most important day in the life. So taking the surprise out of walking the aisle is so weird. And too each their own I guess.
