My husband who was my secret boyfriend came up to ask my Dad for my hand in marriage, but he didn't get to because at the time we didn't know he had Cancer sadly we loss my Dad 11 days later, but when I was telling him goodbye I whispered to him that he didn't have to worry about his little girl that I found a man who loved me. We were married 6 yrs later, we got married at the court house but he did ask my mom for my hand and both my mom and my husband father were are witness

I was a daddy's girl and watching this has reduced me to a puddle of tears. What a wonderful gift you gave to your beautiful daughter. My dad died in 2007 and it still seems like yesterday. My mother told me one time that dad said the only one of his daughters he dreaded walking to the altar, was me, because he said he would hug me so hard that he wouldn't let go. He knew , though, I never wanted to get married and I haven't. I like being single. If I had gotten married and my dad sang this to me, I would have been a wreck. My dad and I had a lot in common and one of those things was singing. Dad was a song and dance man, from way back. He had the most amazing bass voice I've ever heard and I am just the opposite; I am a high soprano. I would give anything to hear him sing this song. God bless this father and daughter.

That's ok because I still have my mother and she's all I need. Gary (my...father...) Was always off getting drunk (even after being divorced...) Butt my mom was always there when I looked back.

I wish my father had been the kind of dad to have a relationship with and we could have danced to a song like this. But I had two wonderful awesome brothers who scared me half to death and kept me in line. I’ve never told them that I appreciate them more than they will ever know. Father God knew what he was doing when he gave me to them. This was beautiful, you Rock Dad.
