Thanks for this video. I was thinking of buying the A50, but decided the A150 is a much better choice; just a little bit more expensive (100 euro, which is fine).

Hi Jo, thanks for your videos! I'm doing a bit if research on which machine I should get. I just wanted to ask would you recommend this brother or the Brother Innov-is F420? Is there a huge difference? I'm upgrading from a standard janome. I want a machine with decorative stitches because I make kids clothing and do a lot of freehand. Also I think the fonts are super cute and handy. Do you think the extra £100 is worth it? Thanks Kat 😊

Hi Kathryn - thanks for your query - tough choice and both are lovely machines - but personally I prefer the F420 - in fact I absolutely love this machine - both are nice looking machines but the F420 is a newer model and looks sooo pretty, the stitch selector icons are neatly displayed in the lift up lid - where as they are on a card that sits on top of your machine on the A150 - so not quite so easy to see or access. The F420 has a lovely storage compartment for the feet too and it slightly bigger than your average size machine. So just based on this the F420 is certainly worth the extra £100. Happy to discuss further and to sort your purchase for you - whatever you decide - cheers Jo

Hi Colin - with any machine you would need to use a leather needle, use correct thread and extend the stitch length - this machine would be ok for the occasional sewing of leather but if used all day everyday I would consider a more robust machine. Hope this helps Cheers Jo

Brother Innovis F420 vs a150 Sewing Machine which one is better?

Not sure if it’s better, but I prefer the F420, it has a slightly larger space and is a newer model to the A150 - the needle threader is also superb and the navigation around the machine is super easy - hope this helps?

What about bernett sew & go 8 is it, can it compete with innovis A150

You can program a whole sentence - it is not one letter at a time

Hi - I am certain it will glide through many layers - up to 6-8 layers of heavy canvas type fabric for sure - the main thing is to extend your stitch length to allow the fabric to feed through easily
