It took me a long, long time, but I finally put my foot down and have refused to be in the same room with him going on 2 years now. It's one of the best decisions I ever made in my life. People forget... toxic people in your family are STILL toxic people. You are NOT obligated to give access to your life to someone who is harmful to your mental and emotional wellbeing, EVEN IF they're more subtle about it and EVEN IF they're family.

My family, same thing. Took me getting married to really start seeing it. My mom was silent and polite during my dress selection. I found out years later it's because my maid of honor, who is almost 6 foot, told her if she made even one negative or passive aggressive snipe she'd make sure she'd be uninvited to the wedding.

Given the dresses she was looking at were lace dresses, and I assume the sleeves would also be a lace material, alterations would be necessary regardless to ensure they fit correctly on the circumference of her arms. I totally agree though, I can't believe there were no dresses with sleeves for her to at least try!Perhaps that's standard with +size dresses to show the fit of the dress, rather than the alterations that can made :)

The bad thing is that the brother and mom aren't paying for it but apparently they are getting married to her fiance.

I LOVED dress #1 on her. So pretty. But #2 she looked stunning.

There’s a ton of work that goes into bypass. She may have had to lose a certain amount of weight before she could get the surgery, you have to be sooo careful with what you eat, how you eat, and how much. It’s HARD.

Thank you! My mom had bypass a year and a half ago, and she had to lose weight before they would even do the surgery. She also had to give HERSELF injections EVERY DAY 😩 I’ve seen how much work goes into bypass, and the people saying she didn’t work for it, bug the crap out of me

I do love the first one, but the second one is BEAUUTTTIFFFUUUULL. It made her curves and figure very nice.

Poor girl!! She loved that dress and when her family insulted it she felt sad and insecure and that’s so sad. Heartbreaking that she would rather get what they wanted instead of what she wanted.

This is why I'm not buying a dress because of all of the comments this family made. Excuse me first of all her mother doesn't get to decide how she looks and why would the girlfriend come. That's rude of the entourage. Hate this family

She is gorgeous. She was so happy and excited then mom and 'the should shut his trap' brother made the rude comments.

I understand this girl pain, I get the same from my family to. She’s amazing you did something amazing and you found real love not everyone can say that

She's paying for it not them, her day = her dress. If that girl who's next to the bro is his gf he should say the exact same thing to her for her dress fitting, lets see how long they'll last. It's not their wedding its her wedding and if the mom wants bling she can bling her up her own dress.

Tina Contonio his girlfriend was speechless. She was probably thinking twice about being with him. Personally, I'd feel dirty being with someone that's going to be so rude to someone their supposed to love. If he can hurt his sister whats stopping him from hurting her? Nothing.

Camila Artistica, I 100% agree with you. I was always told that if a man treats the women in his life bad, than he has no problem treating you the same way.

It's so cute how she says that their 1st date lasted 8h and they just talked and talked and that the next day she knew she was going to marry him. How beautiful must it be to know you've just met the love of your life without any hesitations 💓

This is why I went shopping for my Wedding Gown by myself! (And paid for it by myself!) l didn’t give a hoot what anyone else thought! That was 38 years ago now, I’m 60 and widowed. Thank goodness for Grandkids, my reason for living! I don’t think this was the first time her brother treated her this way. She needs to grow a backbone and put that boy in his place! I would never let anyone speak to me like that brother or not!

She has good taste, her family doesn’t. What’s with the bling obsession? Princess, princess, princess......blah!

it honestly broke my heart how she loved the first dress and after her family shot it down her mood instantly changed to "i like this dress but i don't like myself in the dress"....she's such a lovely girl i just don't know how they could be so mean to her

They were both horrible to her but the second dress did look stunning on her

Kindness never costed anyone anything and they were downright mean to the Bride-to-be. Are you sure they are her family and friend? Really, nasty people.

If you aren’t paying for the dress, you have no say.

WOW! Her weight loss is amazing, very impressing!! Not many people can do that! Besides, she's beautiful despite her weight. I think she looked beautiful in the first dress. Absolutely beautiful!

She struggles with self confidence big time but she did such an amazing job with her weight loss and stuff she looks so good

The best part about KZread is the comment section where I’m having a bad day I just watch a random video then head straight to the the comment section guys are savage and shady AF and I’m loving every second of it😂🤣

The most terrible part about it is, you don't really expect these hurtful words to be said to you by your own family who were someone that is suppose to support you, love you for who you are and cherish every moment with you. This absolutely tears me up inside.

I'm so glad that the lady spoke up about how negative her family was being, and she was right. Support first, opinions last. It was so satisfying that she called them out.
