Growing up me and my sister were forbidden from watching this movie by our former super religious parents. They wouldn't let us read books or watch any TV shows or movies that weren't about the Bible or at least had a Christian theme to it. And they made it clear to our elementary school and even our friends parents (who were more open minded) that they did not give permission to do so. As we got older, me and my sister eventually said 'screw this' and started watching Brother Bear and other 'forbidden' movies behind our parents backs. Eventually we got caught because my mom caught me reading a Harry Potter book (which was a big no no) for a school book report. It led to a massive fight between our parents trying to enforce their authority and me and my sister standing up for ourselves. With enough persistence our parents eventually backed off and let us watch and read whatever we wanted as long as it was age appropriate. They didn't approve but they knew it was pointless to stop us. Now I can't get enough of music from around the world. Hearing music and changing from all different kinds of backgrounds and ethnic groups never cease to amaze me.

First we lose Sitka in the movie, then we lose Denahi’s voice actor. That’s gotta be painful for Kenai. I know it’ll never happen, but it would be nice if Disney made a short movie/tribute with Kenai in his bear form on top of the mountain hanging out with an eagle and a wolf (Sitka’s totem was the eagle of guidance, and his spirit became an eagle when he died as shown later in the movie. Since Denahi’s totem was the wolf of wisdom, it would make sense for his spirit to become a wolf). During this, Koda and Nita would be in the background hanging out with their spirit mothers.

@@TimberlakeTigerGirl Ahhhh geez I'm really sorry you went through that. Your parents love you and just wanted to protect your young mind! But sometimes people take it to far. I know some Mormon families who only let their kids watch religious shows and movies. I'm so happy they eventually caved and let you watch other things 💜
Poor Kenai He Very Sad Because He Miss Sitka
The music is very spiritual. Beautiful voices 💓
To me this is a true movie cartoon and the others that were made in the 90’s to early 2000’s. Now a days these new cartoons don’t start to beat these old ones makes want to go back in time and see it in theaters again and feel the drama, excitement, thrill, and adventures these shown.

Same here this movie always stayed close to my heart as a kid. Even now as an adult. My brother died 2 months ago and I decided to rewatch Brother Bear today, and I cried so much at this scene. The emotion the creators captured is so real

Lloré desconsoladamente cuando Sitka muere la primera vez que vi esta película. Pero con el tiempo se ganó mi cariño.
Beautiful soundtrack
Sitkaaaa :'((((
It's one of its kind. Any movie from was not even close to it.
This is one of the greatest sounding minutes in any Disney film, so glad this part has been posted 🥹

I cried at this scene...this relates with me and my older brothers I'm the baby and sadly out of thec3 if us the oldest one passed away but taught me to be loving and kind this movie relates to me so much because we actually grew up in Alaska...love you seth
Music 😭💔 sitka
Tiene un toque triste y a la vez místico.

Sitka's death music reminds me of Chadwick Boseman's demise
Just over a basket.
Kenai: You ready? Denahi: For what? Kenai: For going after the bear. Denahi: I know what you're feeling, but killing that bear is wrong. Kenai: Wrong? Our brother is dead and it's because of that monster. Denahi: I don't blame the bear, Kenai. Killing the bear won't make you a man. Kenai: Thanks for your wisdom.

Just search : "Brother Bear OST Sitka's death" It should come up for you.
Kenai and Denahi couldn't find Sitka's body due to the avalanche so he's probably cremated
How is the song called?
