Currently breaking in my first Brooks saddle out here in Canada, the same model my father bought in Brum back in the 50s. Great film. Fantastic that at least some British brands still manufacture in the UK, maintaining jobs and giving back to the communities that helped build that initial reputation for quality. Jolly good stuff!

I hated my brooks saddle for 3 years until last week. I went to the bike store and he recommended me to adjust the noise of the saddle erected just a bit. This worked wonders Its soo much more comfortable and I don't slide of the saddle. This has made a huge difference.

not so sure about the best materials and designs, their tensioner bolts regularly break due to perpendicular forces placed at the bolt head. a few impacts from pot holes transmit excessive load into the saddle which is pretty much all taken up by a helpless potmetal bolt. If you are lucky enough to make the bolt last, eventually the shackle that holds the bolt will bend and eventually break.

I just bought a Brooks Flyer S model... when you watch the video $115 is not a bad price and I'm sure the workers make more than $3-hr. Funny, but I purposely bought a female model for it's dimensions, wanted the width, but not the length compared to the male Flyer. Hopefully it all works out, we shall see... thanks BROOKS for continuing the tradition of a classic saddle.

Some people say it's a heavy saddle. In Vancouver, the heaviest part of your bike is the lock. Thieves will pick your bike clean like vultures. Always take your saddle, particularly if it's a Brooks™.
