hi it’s me no I think she means they set horrible standards for beauty. They are for hours and can do whatever they want with there bodies but girls look at the kardashians and are “like no boy will like me because I don’t have a big butt big boobs no thigh gap big lips etc etc.” not saying girls back then didn’t do that with Brooke but Brooke has made it clear she’s not all that and crap

She is beyond beautiful, and she has a very unique look that sets her apart. She's so adorable in this interview.

I lived through the Brooke Shields iconic days back in the 80s. I know she's extremely beautiful, but wow, seeing here here again, I'm blown away by her beauty inside and out. I don't think there's any girl in the recent days that really compare to her level of beauty! No heavy make up nor instagram filters needed for this girl lol!!

I almost feel bad for Brooke. I wonder if she ever cried because the world only saw her as a pretty face not as a person. I know she said all the time how she wouldn’t trade her life for anything but I just can’t believe that anyone would enjoy that.

She was groomed and dehumanized in front of the whole nation. She has recently alluded that she thinks her beauty was a curse. She says people only began treating her as a real person / a real human being after she became old and her beauty faded. She's said that when she was younger, she was so traumatized that she didn't know that the things she was going through were wrong.

People with less intelligence who think that looks and intelligence don't naturally go hand in hand aren't worth the time of day, men try to do this routinely to gaslight attractive women into doubting themselves as a way of oppressing, (which is what jealous dumb people do, inc' some women who feel jealous of others). I think at worst, she wondered why others are so dumb, crying over their stupid.. highly, highly doubt it. She knows she's smart, which good looking people usually are. Most well rounded white woman I've ever seen or heard.

I've also noticed how it's people who look and feel unattractive that crave the approval and company of others, as opposed to genuinely enjoying the company of others without needing them. So it makes sense why she's self content, if one is smart and intelligent, other like - quality people are just a wonderful bonus.. not a live or die necessity. Brooke knows this in her bones which is why she is self contained.

It is interesting because when she was talking about how she didn't wa t people to think she thought she was better than them, that was so true. She took it to an extreme. She wouldn't look in the mirror during dance class and she would fall. She didn't want others to think she was vain. She used it to make herself feel less than. She and her mom fought more over her mom's drinking.

Her mother would not let Brooke come over to my friends uncle's house one afternoon when we were all out playing volleyball..I can remember Brooke standing on the bottom rung of the fence watching us..Finally we asked if she would like to join us and she climbed over and started to play with us like any other 13 yr old would..However,her mom came out and told Brooke to come back because she had things to do..I got the feeling that her mom just didn't want Brooke hanging around us non child stars..I can still see Brooke sitting by herself on the patio swing watching us play volleyball and to this day it still makes me feel sad whenever I think about that late fall afternoon in Connecticut..

Brooke Shields looks gorgeous in this 1980 Kids are People Too gem!!

I remember this show very distinctly but there are three things from it that I recall with particular clarity. 1. A kid in the audience once asked a question and MY asked him what his name was. The kid was also named... Michael Young. They joked about that briefly. 2. There was a segment in which a lawyer came on and talked about court procedure. At one point, someone ran out and shouted something at him and the audience was asked to testify as to what happened and what was said (something like "I'm going to fill you with hatred!" or something equally odd). I believe the point was to show that crazy things often happen quickly and that different people see them differently... which is why eyewitness testimony isn't always accurate or reliable. 3. Willie Aames (from "Eight is Enough") was on and talked about his interest in Scuba diving. He explained that the tanks of compressed air could be dangerous and, indeed, explode "...like a five-hundred-pound bomb" (or something like that).

Those people who are jealous of Brooke Shield’s natural beauty do have cold hearts and probably have an ugly appearance.

I grew up being told I look just like her by everyone I ever came across, including strangers. At the same time, I was bullied for the way I looked by my family who consistently accused me of being slutty, a gypsy, and vain. Unfortunately, I guess because of my overwhelming shyness/embarrassment, I’ve never made it in life. Not a single marriage proposal, no children of my own. A looser.
