Young Brooke Shields describes a frightening experience of being in distress as she was overcome by strong currents while filming a scene for “Wet Gold.” Also in the interview, Brooke talks about how she enjoys making films, as well as topics of a personal nature and her desires for her life in the future. Brooke's mother, Teri Shields, comments as well. In “Wet Gold,” Brooke played the role of a young café waitress that becomes involved in a search for a sunken treasure of gold. No, she doesn't. She has a physical type and physiognomy that can become more masculine over time, that's why she looks so healthy here as a young one (not delicate, full of vitality). She's just her self but older.

Yes. Just the fact that this movie was a "made for tv movie" shows that her career was basically almost over at that point. Stunning beautiful yes but then you had all these teen 80s John Hughes movies coming out in theaters. Then came along Molly Ringwald and it was a wrap. Brooke got pushed out of Hollywood. Especially around this time in her life when she was at Princeton she had a ton going on in her life not to mention her career still being managed by Teri Shields at this point and her dealing with her mother's alcoholism. She was very young here not just in the physical but mentally as well. I think it's sad to say but here she was just probably greatful to still be getting work especially after the movie she did right before this "Sahara" bombed at the box office.
