Give this person a medal. A bronze medal, to be precise.
Bronze is a respectable pick for best material, but I respectfully sustain that Carbon is the true best: the base on which all life is built, the bricks that make up the structure of both diamonds and hematite, the hardest material and the preferred mineral for making writing utensils. Carbon is the solid foundation, the glue, and the epitome of the various materials, for how would we be able to harness Iron, if we didn’t exist? How could we make bronze if we couldn’t write down how to make it successfully every time? How would we burrow to the depths and reach more resources if not with diamond-coated or tipped drills? Bronze is a big step in the right direction, but once you learn how to harness Carbon, there is a clear winner. Carbon is life, literally.
Bronze is my #3 favourite metal.
Only 3300 to 1200 BC kids will remember how cool Bronze is.
They are indeed better than gold, but I wouldn't want to reinforce concrete with them.

@redeye4516
2 ай бұрын
@1ManRandom Bronze doesn't rust, but it does corrode. In the majority of cases, this corrosion is actually good, a green patina forms that protects the underlying layers from further weathering. The only time it becomes bad is if copper chlorides are formed, as that can weaken the metal over time in a way that unfortunately seems to be impossible to recover it from, and it can spread if the "infected" metal touches clean metals. This only occurs when chlorides come into contact with it, such as the ones found in salt. So, saltwater can take its toll on all copper-based metals. A good preventative measure is to wax it. But as long as you're not dunking it in seawater, it should be fine.
@stevec.9037

Can't believe he just dumped on copper like that!
1:00 "Brass may not be good for tools or weapons..." Sounds like someone forgot about guns! Shell casings for bullets are made of brass. This is because the shell casing needs to be light enough that a soldier can carry plenty of ammunition, yet strong enough to withstand the explosion of the powder that propels the bullet through the barrel of the gun. Not only has brass been the best candidate to meet these requirements for years, but it's also so strong that the shell casings can actually be re-used multiple times. You can fire a bullet, pick the brass shell up off the ground, and use specialized equipment to insert more powder and a new bullet, creating a cartridge from a re-used shell that can be fired again. Brass shell casings can be re-used multiple times each this way, and it usually only becomes dangerous to re-use a brass shell casing when it's visibly damaged or split, or requires manipulation or trimming to re-load the shell. Many gun owners in the US who shoot frequently will purchase reloading equipment and reload their shell casings in order to save money on getting ammunition. By comparison, steel shell casings have been available for many calibers and weapons too, but are known as less reliable than brass, and simply aren't well suited to reloading. Experts will tell you it's "possible", but it's only possible under the most ideal circumstances and is generally bad for the reloading equipment, so most consider steel shells "disposable". There are talks that the military might switch to plastic shell casings to cut down on the weight of ammunition, but the technology is still debuting, and even when it's ready, the plastic probably isn't strong enough to be used for reloading. Even if plastic cartridges are good for military application, brass cartridges will likely hail in the civilian market for many years to come because reloading the shells is a great way to save money on restocking spent ammunition.

He could give you a great rant about the Sea People.
He's right. I looked at those rods and I honestly can't say that they aren't better than gold.
reject bronze, return to rock and stick on second thought, just rock is fine.

When I joined the Corps, we didn't have any fancy-schmancy tanks. We had sticks! Two sticks, and a rock for the whole platoon-and we had to share the rock! Buck up, boy, you are one very lucky marine!

Brass has many applications in welding, piping, and appurtenance fittings. It’s is very good for those applications.
I mean hey, so long as it isn't aluminium.

Aluminum is underrated smh… and aluminum bronze is 😍😍😍😍
I watch The Drum Thing and I agree.
This is the best work yet. The bronze of YT humour.
>Cringe base metals like copper and tin **Angry electrical engineer noises** >Brass is bad for weapons **Laughs in C260 cartridge brass**
It's all fun and games until a bronze plane destroys a bronze tower...
If anybody was wondering, most old cannons were made of bronze. So you’d better love them as this man does or else
My man deserves a bronze medal for this one
First the CGPGrey hexagon cult and NOW THIS. I have been captured.

Flashbang out.
This is either someone who's fully dedicated to the bit, or we're watching an anonymous stranger's slow decline in sanity.
"Not good for weapons" A couple hundred years of cannons being made out of poured and polished brass would like to have a word with this so-called 'fan'. They were the safest option for quite a while (however expensive), because banded or laminated iron had structural gaps before improved forging methods came along, and held relevance well over a thousand years into the iron age as a result.
this has the same energy as the tungsten cube video
This guy still trying to cope with the bronze age collapse
This is the guy who slows down in a race to make sure he only comes in third
I love these rants people go on bc they are passionate about the strangest things, like the one with the radioactive element that just sucks is also golden.
This goes on for two minutes.
Never thought I’d ever get to see the successor to the Tungsten cube guy, but here we are
Man likes his Seekers and his Soothers, I see.
Thanks. Tiny island is in third place. No idea how this happened
Alright, make a skyscraper with bronze supports. It better be completely structurally sound and just as expensive or less.
When you get third place, but try to prove you are true winner
As a brass guy™️, I appreciate the shoutout
This guy and the tungsten cube guy should fight
Bro's gonna freak out when he learns about silver
My little Bronze Age
getting strong flashbacks to the tungsten cube review...
this comes out as I get interested in metallurgy
remember that meme template of that athlete vehemently celebrating getting third place? this guy is that athlete.

Khorne blushes at the Brass part.

Nothing... NOTHING! Beats Tungsten in my heart.
Well there went my coffee. I should have known better than to have a sip after pressing play.
And yet none of his bronze could overcome the sheer might of tungsten. His puny bronze idols would bend and dent at the very weight of it.
I can see this man attempting burn a pile of gold in the future with a bronze lighter
I thought that said “Bronze truly is the greatest musical” and didn’t even question it
Steel has been one of the bronze families great partners in endeavor in the last 3 centuries. They can accomplish more together than apart. The same is true of wood but for a longer time. The Bronze family has been absolutely indispensable in undertakings upon the water and in space and in music and wood and steel have been by their side for.all of it.
I love this user so much, truly a like-minded individual
Bronze this and bronze that. I’m into beryllium bronze
The profile picture really makes this
surprisingly persuasive
Bronze. A great alloy, but an even greater ally.
This man hasn't heard of unobtainium
I thought I was in for interesting facts about bronze and its applications through history. What I got was way more information than I am comfortable with
