Broken Sprinkler Pipe Floods South Hills Village
A sprinkler pipe burst Thursday afternoon at South Hills Village Mall, sending dirty, black water gushing from a hole in the ceiling and creating some uncertain moments for shoppers; KDKA's Pam Surano reports.

That water must of been sitting in that pipe for years! To be that dark.

I do fire sprinklers for a living and it really doesn't take that long at all
The river was too deep to ford. You lost 10 stores and a section of flooring.
When im in the shower and i block the drain with my foot: (Also bless those that got harmed)

Jesus christ americans.. whats going on over there? It seems you cant even handle with pipes?!?? Next time bring a brazilian plumber.. we can get it done...

It was probably a Brazilian scab that installed this pipe.

No it’s probably a lack of maintenance on the pipes.

@@MicrowaveBakedPotato No such thing. If it was winter time and a wet system, the pipe broke and here comes the water fast. If it’s dry, the air rushed out then here comes the water. Both probably backed by a pump. The only maintenance required is flow of system once in a blue moon. Sometimes and complete drain and fill.
