Lambie is right, this Government is so bloody lazy. they're throwing mud at the wall just to see what sticks. This is an absolute crisis on every level as a low income family, there is nowhere to turn. Housing is razors edge, food and energy costs razors edge, education is on razors edge, even finding early intervention for my sons severe delays is razors edge, medicare razors edge, finding a dr is impossible if my son is sick and the pressure on regional hospitals this winter as a result is going to be DRAMATIC. Overhauling government now would likely be a death sentence, there is literally NO SOLUTION to this mess. I sat with my friend last night laughing about $300 from July 1, after the coldest months of the year and we wont see it until August because the implementation is so slow. CCS and daycare are so choked right now, the whole program needs a proper overhaul, just giving staff more money wont fix it, they are quitting left right and centre, facilities are germ ridden and timey squalor and no place for early education at all. Medicine is getting more expensive and harder to get and bulk billing is a month between appointments or more, speech therapy and other types of therapy over a year This entire country is in a massive crisis and i see the gulps in their necks every single time they front the media, they all damn well know it. Us parents will be massively turning to home schooling which is going to cause huge social issues, we need another solution that is not daycare, another social solution for children to stay connected that is not screens and we need it yesterday because only incentivising working families to have more babies is pathetic, another upcoming razors edge is the generation gap due to nobody between lower and middle class being capable to have kids, and the upper class dumping theirs in daycare. Dont even get me started on defence, this whole situation goes way back lazy selfish governance with no clue about what this country needs or any clue about direction. I am seriously concerned for us all. This is so fucked, its time someone comes out and tells the whole truth.

To cap it all off, the Federal Government imported an additional 1,000,000 people since coming to power, which adds to demand on Housing, Schools, Hospitals, etc. etc. etc. this of course COMPOUNDS the problems for all Australians bringing many to breaking point. Of course most Politicians have multiple houses ( investment properties) so they experience NONE of the difficulties "average" Aussies do, and it seems they don't really care.

Albo needs to go. I do prefer Dutton over Albo but he still worries me. I think what he says is true but I want to know what he is going to do about immigration? Is he going to cut numbers coming in? as I think this isn’t helping with housing, cost and availability. Also what is he going to do to encourage more manufacturing in this country? Economically having manufacturing here makes more sense.

Broken promises are almost LIES, and I do not know of any others.

Labor supporters said that it was coincidental that Labor governments have higher interest rates, well we have had 12 rises and we are about to get more. I wonder what they think now? I am sure there will be some excuse.

Dutton may become the next PM. There is the alternative energy nonsense. Electric cars have proven to be dangerous. Under Labor, there is an enormous housing crisis. Not just families hurt.

As an aged pensioner we got $500 over last year. Now we get $300. It's good to get something but we paid tax over many years and received nothing over time, no childcare, no maternity leave, no dole money. I lost my job in my 50s due to ill health so we have had to live on my husband's low income. We are grateful for the concessions we receive but it's getting harder to eat healthily and pay our bills.

Wasted? I wouldn't call bringing Australia through COVID better than any other country as wasted. Nor would I call Duttons performance in all of his previous portfolios as wasted, especially as Defence Minister. Who got AUKUS off the ground again? Even so, Dutton wasn't in charge, just like Albo wasn't in charge during the disastrous Rudd and Gillard years. But he was standing at the back pulling the strings.

I find it hard to take Dutton seriously in politics given his past of spying on senators, using his position as the immigration minister to import babysitters for his kids, and his repeated (and failed) attempts to take the big-boy seat from the Libreral leaders while they're at their weakest.
