I was going to be married this Sunday. Two weeks after a lovely proposal and a solid "Yes", she got cold feet and called it off. After a dizzying cycle of yeses and nos and maybes, it became clear that the only choice that I could make stick with her was NO. Though it sucks to hear it, you are right, and I appreciate the kind yet firm advice. It is better to be alone than with someone who doesn't want you. Maybe she thought she did, but she couldn't even honor her own choice for a full two weeks. She didn't want me. She just wanted the pieces of me that reminded her of her "ideal" guy. I'd be an absolute fool to think she'd honor her choice for life. I don't know how to move forward. This hurts worse than anything I've ever known or imagined. At the moment, anything seems better than feeling this way, but I know being with her would, in the end, be worse.

Bloody hell this is a complicated one. I think as they're young and with his issue - indeed time is needed and probably best apart as two leavings cannot be forgotten.

I needed this video today. This woman's situation mirrors mine EXACTLY in this very moment and your advice is everything I needed to hear from someone I don't know and didn't know either of us. It sucks but you're so right about everything. Thank you. I woke up this morning and searched "broken engagement" on youtube and your video was the first I watched. I don't need to watch another. thank you thank you thank you.

He's never going to marry her

We were engaged then...I found out he was cheating the whole time from the other girl. Wedding got cancelled, but I still love him. I'm hurt and devastated but still want him. Am I crazy to think that he actually cared and loved me a little? After all, he proposed.

He's from the military...this kind of bullshit is what you should expect.
