Just watched the first 43m of the video, it was so good, i've listened to the last 78 ep but i dont comment TOO much But here let me say, i love Neace, i love the guy (what the guy seems to be on camera at least, i dont know him irl), i love his content and a lot of his views, and he is a good content creator, solid entertainement And not once i had the feeling that you were incorrect toward him or that this video would just be head to head clash and losing the arguments, no. You stayed in the realm of concrete, obvious arguments, and good discussion, reacting to what you guys think first, then how to back it up, your experience playing AND coaching, especially NA clients, at around the discussed level, with some great analogy and explanation of thought process as well Anyway my english is stuffed but what i mean to say is : Good talk guys, well articulate from both of you, didnt feel like any lack of respect yet points were adressed one by one with solid arguments

The problem is that content creators like Neace are not responsible with their platform. The fact that his branding says Challenger coaching, while he plays in Diamond at best is disturbing. At some point he had discount code for unranked smurfs. His has low effort EDU content and thats it. Also he hit Chall on LAN not NA. Coach Curtis has bit Chall since season 4 (I might be OCE but he is like top 20 every season). He debunks the idea that you have time to climb. Even Neace back in the day used to do 100 games to diamond videos. He just go lazy relying on his old credentials. When LOL changes every year.

Morning from NA coaches, haven’t been able to play 3 blocks on my university’s winter break yet due to family stuff. And soon I’ll attend a hackathon for coding up an amateur video game. So many delays, ugh. I got +70 LP this preseason but

Huh I only just came across this video by chance while looking for league content (and as a fan of both Coach Curtis and Neace) and I only stuck it on as some listening while studying. But you guys talking about the nature of addiction and relapse really struck a chord with me to the point where I realised I stopped when I was doing and was just listening. So then it was hilarious to me when you suddenly started talking about League again, for a moment I was like "where did that come from?" before I realised what I was listening to, because what you spoke of was so universal. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I think you guys are really switched on blokes, and I'm happy there's creators like you out there. Also it's funny hearing you talk about the TP changes now that the whole support top-bounty gold thing is going on. What an unpredictable meta shift in regards to a seemingly innocuous change, although you were spot on in a lot of ways too.

Something that wasn't touched on with the TP changes is tempo resetting for mid laners. Your base timings are going to matter a lot more, and 1v1 laning as a whole will matter more, not just in the realm of solo killing. Forcing someone to take a recall and them having to walk back to lane is a lot more punishing than forcing them out and your lane opponent just TPing back and getting a free tempo advantage.

Any thoughts on the TP changes making champions like TF, Galio and Shen stronger? Early in the game these champions will be able to make roam plays by ulting with no counterplay pre 14 minutes. This means you can freely ult other lanes without it worrying about any other laners using TP to counter roam. Potentially they won't be able to match these champions pressuring side lane and ulting to teamfights the entire game if it shifts to an Ignite meta like you guys spoke about.

Do you think spell book will become meta from current tp changes?

I don't understand why so many high elo people says that the tp change won't affect low elo. I'm a platinum player and tping to a early skirmish in mid or bot was a massive factor in a lot of my games, and it was also a big factor when I was silver and gold. I agree with Curtis that this is a big change. But I'm not sure if top laners will stop taking tp. For example, I only play Irelia and I don't need tp to get solo kills in any matchup and also having tp let me come back to lane after an enemy gank so I don't lose that much. It depends a lot on the champion. I agree that tanks will now be even less revelant. I don't care to be honest because I only enjoy playing carry-oriented champions in top. The tp change take us away and gives us something. Top laners and mid laners won't be able to react instantly to fights anymore. Unless they predict it somehow and they tp to a turret. But if the enemy see it, they can react in time and retreat. But on the other hand now the enemy solo laner won't be able anymore to freeze the lane after you solo-kill them because they won't be able to stop you from shoving the lane up to their tower. That way a solo kill will also mean a tp-advantage, which can then be used for a dragon fight in advance.

Yea I didn't quite understand his argument about smurf que and long que times. Its obviously going to take the que longer to find people if it thinks your playing at that level. Also im a fan of the tp changes as an illaoi main lol

This may be a bit late and I've only gotten to 44:01, but I feel like you might be discounting NEACE too much. It isn't completely necessary for most people to reach the highest of echelons -- you say so yourself that you appeal to a specific subset of the LoL community. What he does do is get tools that work into people's hands and get them to the "base of the mountain" to begin with. Even if it's flawed, I still think that such a thing is enough: the people that would quit after reaching that point or are unwilling to unlearn potentially harmful habits weren't *meant* to climb to the highest spot to begin with, and most of us aren't. What they DO get is the satisfaction that they HAVE beaten the game and the competition to that point, and that's a reward to itself. I still really believe in your content though, especially when you can pair it with someone like NEACE so that you can get a more encompassing view of the game. Keep up the good work!
