    I made a lot of my own tools out of clay (from the dollar store) and because I took the time to make them and put my energy in them, now I look at each piece and adore it and feel a part of myself in them because I made them.

    I personally think that items that you make yourself In a whole crafting process carry much more of your own personality and your own intention and therefore tend to be more powerful than a store bought item. For example my book of shadows I bound myself with cloth that I embroidered with my own sigils and symbols during a whole month. I completed it with a spell and herbs that I bound in between the book cover and the cloth. It was nothing fancy and I don’t have professional book binding tools or anything- I just used needles, knifes, wool and glue that I hat at home but it turned out perfectly and it totally vibes with me and my path.

    I own a small vintage shop in my downtown area. When I go to estate sales, thrift stores, yard sales for inventory for my shop, I always keep a look out for items for my altar and my practice. It’s a fun way to incorporate antique or vintage items into my altar! I imagine my ancestors before me maybe using them for their altars and crafts. This may sound silly, but this brings me joy 🥺💞. It’s also a very inexpensive way to gather tools for my altar. I also gather items from my garden to make things such as sun catchers, etc. I live in the city in South Florida so I also use what herbs, plants and weeds that are indigenous to my area, along with things from my local grocery. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure!!! I love treasure hunting!! Lovely video!!! I always enjoy your knowledge and energy!! Thank you 🙏🏻

    The boline is white with single side blade( sometimes in crescent moon or sickle shape). The athame is black handled and double sided blade doesn’t need to be sharp. The boline is used as a cutting tool for herbs, etc. the athame is used to direct energy or “cut” the circle.

    Most my little bottles, bowls, and plates are from the dollar store, and I go to value village and second hand stores for some vintage looking items that stick out to me. Farmers markets are also good, found my mortar and pestle in one. They also had little bells and trinkets. Dollar tree has so many candles, and craft supplies you can make tools and items from. And another place in my town that me and my witchy friend buy incense from is Birdies Nest, they have a lot of things that are from all over the world from different cultures, I also got a small amount of crystals from them. Also want to state I’m Canadian so I don’t know about anywhere else in the world.

    "Cleanse your blade!" 🤣 I collected a lot of my tools from my local park so it carries with it the Landvættir or land spirits of my surrounding area. Also from second hand stores and markets but definitely cleansed first! I also made my own rune set and youre right about it adding meaning when you do this! I also appreciate your emphasis on time and dedication when it comes to witchcraft. I feel most empowered and connected when i'm regularly tending to my altar or connecting in some other small or big way to my deity or ancestors.

    Dollar tree has candles too. They are tall and short for $1. You can wash peanut butter jars too. You can use salt from dollar tree. Dishes from dollar trees are great for pillar candles from thrift stores you can buy candles from . Making your own candle holders from clay is great. Chalice from dollar tree is $1 and is great for holiday rituals. I bought a cup and it's my lucky cup so yeah

  • @skarinblackraven9212
    @skarinblackraven92124 ай бұрын

    Im going to say that you absolutely can use a butter knife as your ritual blade. If its what you have, then practice by your means. The spirits and Gods do not care if your blade is a butter knife or your wand is fancy chopsticks. The tools are orops for the mind, ultimately you provide the power and meaning to your work.

    With water it is always a bit dangerous because some crystals can get damaged (We have a Free downloadable file with the most common crystals that shouldn’t be submerged in water for too long on our shop ekstones.com/products/free-crystal-care-cheat-sheet) I suggest either leaving the crystals in full moon light for a night or using incense or sound (bells for example) to cleanse them from past negative energy - those are the safest ways 🙏🏼
