Nuno just sent all modern guitarists back to school!
Nuno just took the throne without wanting to. He's the guy now.
Extreme sounds like Extreme...period!
Absolutely brilliant concert just saw them in Memphis and they were spectacular. There was not an ounce left. They gave everything to the show to the crowd to the music to everyone. I would see them every day and plus they play loud. I loved it thank you.
Nuno is an absolute monster guitarist and the solo on this song certainly lives up to all the hype. I grew up in a town just a few miles from where the guys in Extreme grew up and I remember hearing their very early material on the radio because the local radio stations were very supportive. I saw Nuno play in NYC with his own band in the 90's when I was there going to graduate school and it was an amazing show.
They all are so talented and entertaining to watch. Plus they actually have talent......no auto tune lameness.
On their album III Sides to Every Story, there is a song called Peacemaker Die. In that solo, there's a section very similar the the second part if this solo. And that album was 30 years ago. Nuno killed it back then too.
Their previous album Saudades de Rock is really good too, it was vastly overlooked. Look up “Comfortably Dumb”
I saw Extreme and Tesla (and Satriani among others) open for Crue at a Monsters of Rock concert in the '90s. It was my first time hearing either of them. Became instant favorites.
The big difference is Slash is a crap guitar player compared to Nuno and you KNOW Gary`s voice instantly. I bought Extreme`s first album as soon as I heard Mutha Don`t Wanna Go To School Today. Been a huge fan ever since. I was thoroughly impressed with this song. Everything about it says "real rock is coming back".
Extreme representing Massachusetts, wahoo! 🤘 On your Lovebites SSS reaction you asked for the female version of Queensryche. Don't know if that band exists but Lovebites certainly can play a Queensryche-like song. A Frozen Serenade live kzread.info/dash/bejne/c5ls0rOPpZC4fps.html. To me, this is Ryche meets Dream Theater. These ladies do it all, you've seen them be the Big 4, Testament, Priest, Maiden, Motorhead. Now it's time for the curveball/change-up, their 'other side', if you will. These ladies dominate and can do anything with those instruments...Serenade is absolutely spectacular! 🤘
The new Eddy!

Not really. Nuno has been doing his thing since the 80s.
🤘🤘🎸🎸
Numero Nuno!
'Sounds like play.with me' - no it is much closer to Nuno's solo in Peacemaker Die actually in terms of technique.

Funny! Extreme started in the 80s way before AIC and STP...

It was more modern than I expected. Most 80s bands tend to stick with their original formula. It was a pleasant surprise.
Herman Ree?
That was too funny or ironic about every band having a rise song since Rise is the new Nemophila song.

Every band has a Rise song! Lol. Jamey Jasta talks about it all the time. He retired it after their self-titled album because he said every band they played with had one. So I looked into it and he was correct.
Stop the world
This cannot sound like velvet lol it would have to be the other way around because this sounded like extreme
I hate that it looks easy, lmao.
NOT even close to Velvet Revolver....or AIC...but to each their own lol

Slash is great but he couldn't keep Nuno's guitar stap on!
Does someone know the name of the Scott Weiland song they ripped this off of? It's driving me nuts.
