It’s crazy to me the narrative that most in the media push that he’s too short and small with small hands. When he’s the same height as the projected number 1 pick in Caleb Williams, Is a couple lbs off Jalen Hurts who we consider tough and is league average weight wise, And has the same hand size as Patrick Mahomes and a close 40 yard dash time and we’ve praised Pat over the years for his scrambling ability

Irrelevant when he wins 2 league MVP's and leads a joke team like the Cardinals to the Superbowl , He's got work to do, but Purdy can be great. Since Warner went from bagging groceries at a High-V, to the arena leagues, then to the NFL in 4-5 year process... Purdy is getting to spend his youth actually developing in the NFL itself.. I was watching those "elite" QB`s all season and all of them have amazing O-Lines in front of them who keep them safe in pockets allowing 5-6 seconds for throw, I am not sure Purdy has even 3 seconds to throw the ball. Even Tom Brady had conditions for playing at Tampa Bay. He wanted his favorite "weapons." When Purdy is firing on all cylinders, he is releasing the ball and anticipating the location of his receivers as good as any other QB. He has shown that his size can be an advantage in evading tackles. Thankfully he mostly runs for positive gains. He can take hits. He's fearless on that score. He usually has good vision and mostly bounces back when he doesn't. The Christmas game at home looked really bad but he wasn't getting much protection. Football is still a team sport thankfully meaning that he succeeds in large part as his team succeeds. Luckily he has a strong Christian faith on top of having a strong Christian McCaffrey to run the ball!

People just have to hate on something. I am a Niners fan and have been since first watching the NFL in 2006 and I believe that he is our franchise QB. Football is a team sport not an individual sport so of course he needs weapons. What’s funny is Purdy is taller and heavier than Bryce Young, Kyler Murray, and Russell Wilson but you don’t hear anyone calling them small or a “game manager”. Purdy had broken Niner records for most passing yards in Niner history in his first full season as a starter. He also has one of the best stats for a QB. Purdy has had great success with his career just starting but people have to find a way to see negative rather than enjoying watching the skill set he has when going through reads and escaping the pocket. So I can careless about the haters. I’m for Purdy as our franchise QB. He is the QB we have been needing to win it all. Bang! Bang! Niner Gang!

Actually, I love Brock Birdy and I'm a Niners fan. Let them hate as much as they want who cares that young man loves God got to the Super Bowl and doesn't have a care in the world. He's doing what we all wish we could've done when we were 10 years old and he does it with a smile.

  • @MikeSolo1

As a lifelong Niner fan, you can count me among the people who spent most of last season's late run and the first part of this season saying "we can't say for sure what he is just yet." What I love about this kid is that he just takes it all in stride and stays level headed. Criticism, hype, he doesn't let any of it get in his head, especially come game time. He goes out and executes. Does he make questionable decisions and throws? Sure, what QB doesn't? Even golden boy Mahomes throws bad passes. I'm still not ready to crown Purdy as an "elite" QB, or the "next" anybody. What I am ready to do is hopefully watch him lead this team to a Super Bowl win. At the end of the day, winning (eventually) silences all critics.

"The 49ers reached a high level of success this year...it's just a matter of whose deserves the credit". How about, THEY ALL deserve the credit! Football is the ultimate TEAM sport! You need all the pieces (QB, O-line, D-line, receivers, backs, linebackers, secondary, special teams, coaching staff) working in unity and at a high level to reach and win the SB! The 49ers have done just that, as has KC. Enough with Purdy hasn't done this, or is carried by these guys...how about it's the TEAM that has done this and that...and has carried ONE ANOTHER to their ultimate goal!!!

I figure it has to be an impressive record, or you would think/expect it to be. Good look to all you NINERS FANS out there, take down the Chiefs. Just hope Shanahan can stay out of his own way and close it out if you have a lead. Don’t get cute again EVEN IF YOU HAVE A 25-point lead. Kyle really needs to win one of these and soon or he’s gonna get the label that the big guy on the other sideline had forever “he can’t win the big one when it really counts” I lived through that with Andy Reid forever and was glad to sew him win one finally (was even happier we won ours before he did 😂😂
