Telephone is a song by Lady Gaga and Beyoncé from Gaga's extended play The Fame Monster. It was originally recorded by Britney Spears but was not included on her sixth studio album, Circus. The song was recorded for Circus and was also considered for inclusion on The Singles Collection. When Spears didn't release the song, Gaga later used it, replacing Spears' vocals with Beyoncé's, and released it on The Fame Monster EP. In May 2010, Spears' demo leaked. In January 2015, another version featured both Gaga and Spears, but it was an unofficial mash-up of their demos.
