Yes, there working liuves were drawing to a close, which why i was out filming them.... I wish i had filmed more of the other slam ddor stock as well!

so easy on the eyes, those old stock could even be considered pretty

That brought back some memories! I was Station Manager at Charing Cross when these shots were taken. My patch included Waterloo East.

1993 was the year I transferred to Charing Cross as a driver. Stayed there till 1998

Yes, comparing my railway vids of today to these from the 80s & 90s, 'bad old BR' did a great job of keeping the lines claer of weeds unlike today the railway seems proud to cultivate such a mess!

Memories abound in this one! Since i can remember '76 onwards as a small kid on the family day out to Londinium, the absolute buzz of this stretch of line! . . . All them units including CAP's a distant memory i keep alive by playing trains in my head lol. Hastings units had only been gone for 7 years before this. Nice vid mate, keep em coming. Oh . . and ofc i never look at Waterloo E the same since that was part of her journey to mine hehe :D

A few 4cap units in there, can tell them instantly by the blacked out inner cabs.

was just thinking that @2:01, for some reason i noticed the lack of yellow - on looking back to check, it's so obvious that all the lines go straight instead of angled up!🙂 btw i thought they must be CAP units but didn't know if they were even still a thing in NSE days.

That's a pretty nippy run into CX platform 2 at around 8.40. Bet the nanny state doesn't allow its flash electronic tin cans to run into a terminal platform at anything like that speed today...

Well, this is a general tarnsport chanel rather than a railway channel. There would no extra railway vids uploaded even if i put the bus vids on another channel.... I don't always watch all content from channels i subscribe to, i pick & choose the uploads i want to watch........
