"Land of Hope and Glory" is a British patriotic song, with music by Edward Elgar and lyrics by A. C. Benson, written in 1901.
The music to which the words of the refrain "Land of Hope and Glory", are set is the "trio" theme from Edward Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1. The words were fitted to the melody on the suggestion of King Edward VII who told Elgar he thought the melody would make a great song. When Elgar was requested to write a work for the King's coronation, he worked the suggestion into his Coronation Ode, for which he used words provided by the poet and essayist A. C. Benson. The last section of the Ode uses the march's melody.
In the United States, Canada and the Philippines, the instrumental version of this song is traditionally associated with high school and university graduation ceremonies.

I’m proud of our monarchy.
As a devoted American with a royalist spirit, my love for my country knows no bounds, and I’m willing to make sacrifices for it. Yet, my ancestral home, England, holds a cherished place in my heart. The uncertainty of when I’ll return leaves me yearning to relish moments with my fellow Englishmen. Sending love across the pond, and here’s to the reign of Britannia! 🇬🇧 🇺🇸

Indeed, God save the King. I will never forget what I was doing. When her majesty passed, I couldn’t eat my rice and beans after hearing the grieving news. Love from across the pond mate.

This hymn always touched me as a foreigner
Whether the enemy come from sea timeless and deep, descend from the skies, or come from the great void beyond our planet. Britain will stand strong. Citizens all fighting as one, no matter what. Remember. We were outnumbered at the battle of Britain, We were outnumbered at the battle of Waterloo. We were near defeat at the battle of Asia Minor against the dread reptilian Chronovian in the 2200s and barely won the Battle of Birchstok against the dread Caldarian half animal half plant monsters in AD 5850 . But despite this we we won against all odds our species and our people. Whoever threatens this beautiful isle will be destroyed no matter to their power. They can never match the sheer bloody mindedness and resolve not only of the British but of all Humans everywhere whether on Earth or off. Though the centuries and millennia pass unmarked Remember Humanae Eterna est.

It is traditional. Also Buckingham palace is more renaissance or imperial period when the nobility got more opulent and cultured. A true mediaeval castle is more like Stirling Castle in Scotland.
