Excellent to see that they accepted these items even after being told what they were. I grew up with things like pig's feet, intestines and chicken feet in France so it all looks wonderful to me.

It is all in the head anyway. I used to dislike brussels sprouts with a vengeance. The smell off cooking them alone was enough to make me gag. Then one day we had a work dinner and the main course had brussels sprouts but baked with curry powder. I didn't want to be THAT guy so i did try them and loved sprouts ever since

Here in my country we also eat pig, chicken feet 😅 I think its something that older people like more than the younger ones, but yeah, I don't see it as the weirdest food, we also have the 순대 and it's made the same way as the korean version

It’s so cool to see adam have such an open mind while trying these. He even has the Korean drinking etiquette(when drinking to be polite you face away from the person out of respect or kindness. Its usually done when you are drinking with someone older or someone who has seniority over you.) props to Adam. The Korean food over here where I’m from wasnt as great as I thought but nonetheless I still enjoyed it. I think if I had Korean from authentically I would have better experience! Trying new things and foods always make me happy. Even if I don’t enjoy them I’m still happy to experience it.

Covering the dakbal with cheese, brilliant move! Makes them eat and enjoy first, without having ANY preconceived notions or fear. Though, despite being a Korean, I will admit, I've never eaten dakbal before, either, so I have no clue what it tastes like, though I have some guesses. When I go back to Korea, I DO intend on finally giving it a go, among other foods I've as yet to try. This just makes me look forward to it even more. Thank you!

I had the chance to try them in Peru but did not. My friend insinuated that only people of a certain economic class eat them there. I hear from people in other countries that they're very good though

제 친구도 25살까지 한번도 안 먹어봤는데 제가 닭발 진짜 좋아해서 몇번 데리고 갔더니 이젠 알아서 찾아먹어요 중독성 있데요ㅎㅎ

저도28세에 처음 먹어봤는데(술 안마셔서 안주로 먹는 요리먹을 일이 없었음) 생긴것보다 맛있더라구요. 일주일내내먹었어요 ㅋ 요즘도 가끔 주먹밥이랑 배달시켜서 먹어요.

Our father used to buy us boiled pigs trotters for us as children, at the races. It was always winter when we went and they came wrapped in newspaper like fish and chips. I can’t remember if it came with anything else but we used to love them. This was in Australia in the 60’s/

My dad used to make them in a big saucepan, and let them cool in aspic, and we used to have them as a Sunday supper. This was back in the 60s and early 70s. Haven't seen them anywhere for sale in years down south in the UK, but could probably get them at Smithfields I guess. There's a Korean Grocery store near Chapel Market in Islington, I'm going to pop in there and see if they have this microwave brand.

닭발 양념이랑 치즈 맛 조합도 좋지만 ㅋㅋㅋ 일단 눈으로 식재료 식별할 수 없게 덮어 버린 게 거부감 없이 먹을 수 있었던 신의 한 수 인 듯요ㅋㅋㅋ 솔직히 한국인이라도 처음엔 누가 사 주니까(집에서 해 주셔서 먹은 소수파도 있겠지만..) 주저주저 먹은 거고, 먹어 보니 JMT인 거 아니까 사 먹지… (요즘은 먹방 영향도 있긴 하지만) 생전 처음 보는 음식이 그렇게 생겼으면 웬만한 용자가 아니고선 누가 자발적으로 사먹겠냐고욬ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

닭발은 한국인 사이에서도 호불호가 있는데 (전 아예 못 먹어요) 모르고 드셨어도 다들 잘 드시네요 ^^

한국을 알리는데 큰 역할을 하시고 계시네요.한국인보다 더 한국을 사랑하는 사람 덕분에 한국이 자랑스럽네요.

저두 냄새때문에 싫어해요. 닭발,돼지는 족발은 좋은데 발톱은 극혐,곱창도 그다지..암튼 제가 싫어하는건 다 올라왔네요ㅋ 순대는 고등학생,선지는 직장인 다되서 먹을 수 있었어요ㅋ

It's weird how some "common" and "usual" dishes from Korea and my country are considered weird there, like chicken feet and intestines. These two are very common here in Indonesia. I remember giving one of my American workmate cow lung crisps and he was horrified at the thought of eating lungs lolol

많은 사람들이 내장류 음식을 선호하지 않죠. 이미 그들은 소세지로 내장류를 즐기고 있음에도 인식하지 못하는듯 합니다. 하지만 그로 인한 다양함이 세계여행 좋아하는 사람들이 느끼는 즐거움이 아닐까요? 어느나라는 치킨을 머리통째로 요리하고 어느나라는 또 그런걸 혐오하고 또 어떤 국가는 부화하기 직전의 egg를 먹고 어느나라는 그런 음식을 보고 공포와 혐오를 느낄수도 있구요. 다름보단 익숙함이 익숙해서가 아닐까요?

People are simple-minded, sometimes... or can be said, so~ caught up with so many stereotypes. They get horrified of thinking they eat Chicken feet, while takes it for granted eating Foie Gras & Sausages.

앤디는 몇 해 전까진 채식주의자였다고 하는데 그 영향도 있을 것 같아용

한국사람이고 나이 앞자리가 4인데도 초딩입맛이라 닭발 족발 곱창 육회등등 못 먹는거 투성이에요. 영국분들 저보다 용감하시네요. 대단합니다!

Seeing the guy turning away every time he drinks is nice! He must be younger than his drinking partner, and he turned away like the younger Koreans would do. He knows the culture :)

This was pretty cool. I like that they very confidently tried everything without knowing what they were. Had it been me, I'd know what they were just by looking (maybe not the jokbal though), but I also would have asked otherwise. I never eat suspicious unidentifiable meats. Lol I think it was very clever to have the chicken feet all covered in mozzarella too, and with the bones removed. Much less off putting.

나도 닭발못먹는데 진짜 혐오감생기는 음식인데도 받아들이는 마인드가 좋으신들

영국에서도 쉽게 만들 수 있는 호박전이나 야채전 같은 걸 사람들과 같이 만들어 봐도 좋을 것 같아요. 양념이나 재료를 더 사지 않아도, 간편하게 만들 수 있는 요리로요. 겉절이 김치 만들거나, 맵지 않은 백김치 만드는 법 같은 거. 영국 음식과 어떻게 조화 이룰 수 있는지 같은 것도 좋죠. 영국의 한국어학원과 함께 기획해도 재미있는 아이템 나올 듯. ㅎㅎ

The deboned chicken feet sounds amazing to me. I want some of thattt! That is soo convenient! Deboning a milk fish looks impressive, now i wanna know how they debone chicken feet.

I love the fact that people can love the idea of eating one part of an animal and then freak out about eating another part.

생각보다 서구권에선 소시지의 외피 외에는 내장을 잘 안드시니 거부감이 제일 강할거 같았는데 드신 뒤 말해줘도 추가로 잘드시는거보니 신기하네요

우리나라음식이 최고다 이런것보다 외국사람들이 우리나라음식먹으면서 보이는 반응들이 너무 재미있고 신선하네요 감사합니다

신기하게 방금 먹은 것들만 생각 나신다고 하셨죠? 한국인 들은 직장인이나, 하루를 마감할 때 방금 드신 안주들을 생각하며 어울리는 주류까지 생각하고 먹고 마실 생각으로 버틴답니다 ,^^ 너무 재밌게 봤어요!! 저는 한국 사람인데 개인적으로 족발은 별로 안 좋아하지만 소주에 조개탕~~ 캬 내일 마트가서 바지락 사와야징 ㅎㅎ

As a Hong Kong person we have our own versions of those food and it's SO good! I love some pigs feet, chicken feet and clam soup 🤤 I grew up in the UK and I never knew British don't really or have never eaten clam before 😅

지나가면서 슬쩍본거라 자세하진않지만 오히려 몇몇종류 말고는 해산물보단 고기만 먹엇다고 본기억이..

아 진짜 침나온다 닭발 치즈에 가려서 먹인거 완전 신의 한 수 그와중에 혼자 주도지켜 옆으로 고개돌리고 마시는거 넘모 한국인이잖아 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

영국남자가 한국 소개에 정말 큰 공헌을 하고 있는 듯. 벌써 몇 년인지... 👍

That's the stealthiest way to serve dakbal I've ever seen! Covered in cheese as well, you can't even see the fingers LOL. I'm interested to try it both with and without the bones... seems more convenient without, but I wonder if it's like most chicken where deboning changes it somehow?

그러게요 영국인분들은 대구같은거로 전쟁도 벌이는데 조개나 오징어 굴 등등 여러 해산물에는 관심이 낮았으니 신기함 그나마 저런 패각류나 기타 해산물 먹게된 역사도 짧고 말이뵤

워낙에 낙농업하기 좋은 지역이였어서 그래요 ㅋㅋ 고기가 잘나니까 해산물엔 관심가질 필요가 없었죠 ㅋㅋ 그래서 아직까지도 생선은 몇종류 안먹는다고 하더라구요

안주 조합 자체가 영국분들은 경험하기 힘든 음식 재료들이네요 골뱅이가 빠진게 아쉽긴하네요 한국에서 수요가 부족해 영국인들은 안먹는 골뱅이를 연간 5천톤인가 수입하는거로 알고있는데 아마 영국에 사시는 분들도 모르는 분들이 많을듯합니다

단지... 마늘 조금과 파, 청양고추 썰은 것 몇조각이면 되죠.^^ 입맛에 따라 소금 조금...

진짜 한국 사람이 쉽게 접할수있는 음식이지만 항상 새로운 음식에 대해 영국 국민에게 알려주고 맛을 표현해 주시는 영국 남자에게 감사합니다

생소한 식감도 거부감없이 잘먹어주시다니 신기하고 감사하게 봤어요~~

단순히 맛있다는 게 아닌 적절한 비유, 표현들이 너무 좋다 맛에 대한 표현을 너무 잘하심ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

비쥬얼도 그렇지만 치즈가 닭발의 매운 맛을 상쇄시켜 주기도 하죠

영국이 어느덧 이웃국가처럼 느껴진다~~ 옆집 친구들 같아요 ㅎㅎ

오랜만에보는데 안경쓰신분은 한국 진짜 마스터시네요ㅋㅋ 술따라드리는 자세나 드실때도 완벽 ㅋㅋ 위화감을 못느끼겠어요ㅋㅋ

THIS is why you don't tell people who are new to foods what exactly it is before they try it barring any allergies because people naturally judge. With the pigs feet everyone was like, this is so delicious...until they found out what it was. If something is good, it's good.

Neither have I. And since those are produced in large numbers, it cannot be possibly be done by hand. So somebody must have invented some awesome machine to debone chicken feet, which, I imagine, is a quite delicate procedure.

warms my heart to see people eat and enjoy foods they aren't familiar with! From a cultural standpoint, this video was absolutely phenomenal. You guys did a great job introducing the workers to the foods, without giving them apprehension. Fun times!

i've never had korean-style chicken feet but they're my absolute favourite! it was a really smart idea to cover it with cheese cuz i know the look of it is probably not the most appetizing lol

@@solitarelee6200 i know in some parts of mexico they pickle it and eat them with salt , lime and hot sauce. as a snack basically. it’s very good but not many people like it lol

@@solitarelee6200 chinese style chicken feet are normally blanched, fried and braised! The end result looks similar to the feet in this video (the method might be similar too actually) but the spices are probably quite different

@@solitarelee6200 In the Philippines they can be made into adobo (the usual cooked in soy sauce and vinegar). Me and my sister do a sweetened style with a little sugar, bay leaf and a few star anise to make it more fragrant. We just add more water than usual and simmer the feet longer to make it really soft since we cook them with the bones and all. I can assure you, that dish gets polished off in no time. They are also sold as street food here, grilled marinated chicken feet in skewers (locally called adidas because vendors joke that the feet splayed looks like the Adidas logo).

@@solitarelee6200 In Jamaica we put them in a soup/stew. Chicken foot soup - we add lot's of spices and a few ground vegetables

The immediate response to 'Do we have anything like an Anju?' NUTS. Too true. I'm not even English. I moved to England when I was 17 so I don't even know what an Italian bar looks like, but NUTS. I was howling. I'm 27 now and I'd have a nice bit of clam broth and a side of pretzels to keep both people happy hahah

i cant believe adam is already korean! ugh, so proud! i thought that i would never be impressed again as how ollie has transitioned into korean culture, but now to see adam practice drinking etiquette so naturally as well is just *chef's kiss* mon bonito!

Never really tried chicken's feet or intestines, and clams certainly not something I would order or even eat, BUT god damn do they make the food looked appetizing. It makes me actually want to give it a try, all the well knowing that I might gag. But honestly, great job on this video. I especially love how polite and friendly all of them are. The link in the description at the end of the Korean text leads to the Jinji website, although it's fully in Korean and requires a Kakao membership? So not sure if they do international delivery. But yeah, definitely super keen to get some if possible :D

H-mart may have them. If not Jinji, another of many many Korean brands. Korean packaged food has evolved so much that some of them tastes better than restaurants.

우리에겐 익숙한 음식이 외국분들에겐 신기한 점이 신기하고 반응들이 정말 흥미로워요 ! 역시 오늘도 입가엔 미소를 가득 머금고 보게 되네요 😄 The food we are used to is unfamiliar to foreigners and the response is very interesting! As expected, today's video made me happy. 😄

Quite surprised to hear that Soju is the most consumed spirit in the world! The Koreans' love of Soju is pretty well known, but probably, by now, the amount consumed outside Korea must make up quite a bit, as so many non-Koreans I've heard describing it as pretty clean and not overbearing, thanks to people like Josh and Ollie and the Hallyu sweeping the world over.

Not convinced, maybe compared to other Brands of alcohol but i can't imagine soju beeing more consumed around the World than than all types of vodka or Whiskey for example

@@DimaB.4Dawn I mean, he's stretching the definition. Soju by itself isn't, but it is in the baijiu family along with sake. That of course is the world's most consumed alcohol - basically the national spirit of over 1.9 billion people.

They definitly not counting wine and beer, i think only high percentage alcohol because those two would definitly be the two number one spots for sure
