The point is that the readers would just trust whatever they write without a doubt. I'm currently an MPhil student, studying social science in the UK. I find it particularly difficult to explain Chinese affairs to any Western students, who haven’t been to China. They have already put themselves in a judgemental position before the conversation starts, and that just makes everything I say meaningless.

I’m currently studying at Cambridge, surrounded by a bunch of so-called elites. One of my flatmates has been pushing what he thinks is “liberalism” on me and tells me that African people are eating each other like barbarians. Being “liberal” and racist at the same time, isn't he contradicting himself? I complained about his harassment to my college tutor, and I was suggested to walk away and ignore him.

That’s what I got advised when facing quite similar behaviours during my study experience. It almost felt like you could only ran away or pretending you agree. I was too young(as a teenager)to find a proper escaping way, so I just pretended I agree for several years. It still hurts me when I reviewed that period of time and realised that I had to hide myself to stay “involved” into a western country. Like I was not flying over to another side of the earth to learn THIS.

But again, in any countries, there's always some bad people unless you feel being treated unfairly / discriminated almost on daily basis. Not being a Chinese citizen (a Chinese descent nonetheless), I do feel China's education is not inferior to the western countries.

​@@daisuke910 No you're initially right, it is to serve their self interest. They will happily accuse you of being un-democratic if it suits their interest. Their best interest is to label themselves as democratic, however un-democratic they may be. They understand this, and perhaps to much labelling (propaganda) can make one self become blind to the true meaning of democracy. Their method of how to make a country democratic is by propaganda. As long as people believe that the US/ UK is a democratic country then the US/ UK WILL be a democratic country. It's the people perspective that matter, anyway. Nobody knows that Portland is still having massive riots to this very day expect for people living there, it's the power of censorship and propaganda. The scale of riots in the US now is comparable to tianamen sq. 'massacare' and the amount of people killed by the government is far higher. But why nobody say the US government is being oppressive? It's because they control the narrative, the multi billion dollar news agency that they control, controls the narrative.

I find that a democratic nation has a way to provide the illusion of freedom to ensure the citizen sort of has a say in what is happening. I have not heard anything about Portland at all in this side of the world, might check em out but would be difficult to get the right info. Singapore is basically similar-ish to China where they control information yet they work as a democracy. Sort of make the US a bit not sure what to say. They want to say it is a bit authoritarian but the citizen and the country itself prosper. 😂 Lol

Your videos are always funny and entertaining. Well done, keep up the good work. My North American friends only watch NA news media about China. Of course they believe what they read/watch and have very negative view about China. Everytime I watch videos like this from you, the Barrett or Cyrus Janssen etc, I forwarded to them. So far they have refused to watch but I will continue to try to tell them to at least see the different side of the story.
