I was an AME at the old Peninsula Air at Mount Hope airport when Vera came in dangling bellow a helicopter,. One of the best days of my life. I live in Hamilton now and hear her scream over regularly. Thankyou so much.

I was present at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum on Sept 22 1988 for the first flight of our Lancaster. It was a very emotional day to see her lift off so gracefully for the first time. There were many veterans there, including a few in WW2 uniforms of the RCAF. She is wonderful to watch in flight - it's amazing that such a huge aircraft can be so graceful in the air.

Beautiful plane, wonderfully preserved and more importantly USED ! We thank all the Canadians who built, flew, serviced and especially those who paid the ultimate price with their lives on the Lancasters. It's a great pity there are only two left flying, hopefully in about four or five years ( writing this in November 2022 )Just Jane NX611 will be brought up to airworthiness by the Guys and girls at the Lincolnshire heritage aviation centre at East Kirkby Lincolnshire here in the UK

I finally got to go through this aircraft a couple of years ago after having watched it fly around the area for so many years. My Dad was a member back when it was first acquired and I remember seeing it sitting in the old hanger sans wings and tail when it was still painted in its Air Sea Rescue colours. Someone had spray painted a "D" on the end of Rescue. I always love seeing it fly over my house and I can recognize it by the sound before it ever comes into sight.

Really looking forward to watching this. There's very few running survivor Lancasters left in 2020.

Great video Dave. I really look forward to re-visiting the Museum and of course will take another flight. Hoping it will be in the Firefly. The Museum is a great place to visit, I recommend it to everyone interested in aviation. And a last note, the facility and the airplanes are maintained impeccably, all the staff to be congratulated.
