British Hot Dogs - In A JAR!

Hot Dogs in a Jar! I have never seen hog dogs in a jar so I had to try it. While in Scotland, the family went shopping in a grocery market. We saw the hot dogs in a jar and just had to buy it. On the hot dog container it reads "American Style". As an American I have never heard of or seen a hot dog in a jar before. How should I cook them? How will they taste? How will they cook? Should I garnish with ketchup or mustard or ketchup and mustard? Tune in to find out!
The video showcases Dinos Famous Hot Dogs and the Kamado Joe grill.

The amount of things I learn from this channel that I thought were a common thing but learned it's mainly a British thing is crazy. I remember telling an American I was knackered once. He was baffled. Also, they don't do beans on toast over there. I love things like that.

These are originally German sausages adopted by Americans of which the Germans put them in jars please try English mustard no need for chilli 😋

What I love about this video is seeing a young man with impeccable manners, even though his dad was pushing him for a verdict on the hot dogs, he would not speak or even open his mouth with food in it! When such a young man has that decency on his mind, he has been raised right and will be a gentleman when he grows up. Love this family, very articulate and likeable. And enjoyable content. A+

You'll find German Bockwurst in jars in Aldi. Very similar.

Not sure why there's a lot of people in the comments going on about proper sausages. That's not what this videos for! I'm sure they eat them too/have already tried them. There's nothing wrong with a hotdog especially not if it's a home comfort! I personally love hotdogs AND cumberland/lincolnshire sausages :)

Love the silence when taste testing. Speak volumes more than words can ever say.

I love that the house you've moved to is so quintessentially English. Obviously there's a huge array of styles but this country cottage looks like a lovely place. Also looks like you're really enjoying it too.

Very sweet and polite kids you have, lovely! I'd like to see you try to cook a few traditional British foods at home (it's cheaper, and better - often - than eating out) such as shepherd's pie, cullen skink, kedgeree, prawn cocktail, beef wellington, roast lunch, beef stew and dumplings, lancashire hotpot etc (and maybe some desserts!)

You can buy jars of hot dogs in any supermarket in England. They're already cooked. You only need to empty the hot dogs and the liquid from the jar into a pan, and heat gently on the stove. Do not boil.

I'm from Scotland and growing up in the 90's, they pretty much only came in tins from what i remember. Jars came later. And then even later, the plastic wrapped ones. Apart from size, I'm not convinced there's much of a difference! Love the way you pronounce Loch Lomond by the way! ha! we say it with more emphasis on the first o of lomond. love it!

I live in France and love their hot dogs - it's not the sausage but the bread (baguette - lovely crusty bread). They add mustard, of course, and some grated cheese with a drop of tomato sauce. Must admit I've never been to the States so can only compare UK with France.
