Honestly goes to show what having a positive impact in your school system can do for some kids too.. I feel like 99% of us disliked “most” of the staff in our school systems.. the ones who really care are the ones you always remember and Dave certainly cares/cared for these guys!

It’s the surprise I def was not expecting! You can see how tense they were waiting in formation and then the sudden shock of seeing him, they couldn’t contain themselves.. so good!

Josh's "sarangheyo" and little heart to the chef was absolutely hilarious and so cute - no matter how many times he's had incredible food from all over the world, the way he still get excited and retains this child-like happiness is so sweet. I'm vegetarian so the food is why I watch these videos but for the people, their reactions and seeing relationships deepen with each vid! Thank you for sharing these wonderful moments!

I'm vegan - yet still appreciate seeing their delight in the foods.

Harvey truly is taking this seriously. Even when Mr. Smith walked out he did smile, but for the most part he remained at attention and did not become overly expressive. Very impressed by his attitude and how he is taking this.

Harvey is the only one who maintains his composure when Dave comes out. What a discipline.

Iove that you could see the smile and excitement in his eyes but that he still held firm in standing still. He took their directions seriously which shows discipline of character

The fact they wrote a letter FORMALLY and not just asking Josh and Ollie says a lot about the boys. Amazing.

People like Dave are what we need in the education system, to be honest. For the boys to get together and write that letter, asking if he could come along as well shows the impact he's had on them during their school days. You'll always remember figures in your formative years like that.

My heart nearly popped when they said the boys wrote a letter asking to bring the Headmaster as well. I think it really shows how Mr. Smith is respected by his students present and past. He has made an impact on their lives. This special dinner was well deserved!

Headmaster Dave is exactly the kind of headmaster that all schools should have. He seems wonderful, and clearly cares a lot about all the boys that go through his school. That's amazing.

Joel behind the camera forgetting English was hilarious. I also loved the brief little snips of the boys making friends with the other new military trainees. Seeing the incredible relationship they have with Headmaster Dave is amazing. I have never had a teacher like that. What a wonderful thing for them to be able to share.

Headmaster Smith was such a beautiful and necessary addition to this series. He was a huge part in guiding and being with these wonderful boys until they turned into young men. You can tell how much these young men love, appreciate and revere Headmaster Smith. You can also see how much Headmaster Smith loves, cares about and is there for his students. This made me cry and I'm so beyond happy and grateful for all of you.

Dave looks so good, he is really fit. I was shocked to know he was going to participate in the training too, and he is doing a great job (even better than Josh 😅)

Seeing the clip of the boys interacting with the Korean recruits eased my tension a bit! And this video helped too. The last vid was really intense and I know it’s going to get harder for them, but I feel better seeing that they have good moments too!

@@sungtacklim1560 어휴~ 나이가 어떻게 되시는지는 모르겠지만, 제가 교련수업받으면서 힘들었고요. 90년대 초 2박 3일 체험 다녀왔는데, 그때가 제일 힘들었습니다. 오히려 구타나 가혹행위가 있다고 알고 나서 훈련소에 입소했던 90년대 말에는 그럭저럭 받을만 했어요. 식판 엎고 길바닥에 너저분한 음식 멍멍 짓으면서 먹으라고 지시한 적도 있고, 뺨 맞고 조인트 까이는 것은 기본이었습니다. 그런데도 지금 생각하면, 고등학생때 훈련받았던 2박 3일이 아무 정보 없이 입소하여서 정신적으로 더 힘들었던 것 같네요.

I love it when a Korean Englishman drops new episodes out of nowhere. Headmaster Dave Smith was a much-needed inspiration and encouragement to the boys. What a heartwarming episode!

Its great that even after years of bidding farewell to Fulham, the impact of Mr. Smith in the young men's lives is so evident not only with how much grace they had become into as men but also with the way they actually teamed up to pen that letter and convince the crew to bring him there. It could be for more than one reason but i'm pretty sure one of them is how much support and comfort they get from Mr. Smith's presence alone and how they know deep in their hearts that having him there would really change something with how they will deal with all that they have to go through. It's just so touching to see that even parting ways with their alumni school, they can never leave Mr. Smith in the picture when they do something big as this.

삶을 바꿔놓을 거란 말이 딱인 것 같네요. 영국인으로 살면서 분단국가가 겪는 훈련을 언제 받아보겠어요 힘든 만큼 튼튼해질 겁니다. 영국남자진짜 대박. 인기있는 채널인데 조쉬와 올리처럼 겸손하고 한결같기도 어려운데 대단해요

This was a heartwarming episode. Watching the boys go through their military training is cool and all, but to see the interaction with Ollie, Joel, Grace, and Dave again just brings back that old-school Korean Englishman vibe. Great stuff as usual. The food made my mouth water, too. 😆 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

담임 선생님도 아니고 교장 선생님이랑 이런 연대감을 가진다는게 너무 신기하네 진짜 완전 다른 문화 차이로 느껴지네 한국에선 정말 거의 없을 일인것 같은데 일단 내가 나온 초,중,고는 교장 선생님이랑 친해질 일 자체가 아예 없었음

for those who don’t know we in the south in America like to take Coca-Cola and put it in our barbecue sauce. Also, you can pour over a ham while it’s baking in the oven and it starts to turn into a thick syrup and you just keep spooning it back over the ham. But of course, we like to add brown sugar to our Coca-Cola mix. Lots of black pepper. So good.

Coke has stuff you need for marinating already in it so it makes a good substitute.

In the philippines, we use sprite to substitute lemon since lemon is not that accessible in most rural areas.

There is so much warmth and pride the way Mr. Smith speaks about his FULHAM boys.

I love Headmaster Dave! ❤❤❤He's definitely the icing on the cake! I loved his reaction to the Coke. I laughed out loud every time he brought up the Coke. Great spokesman. 😂😂😂 And kudos to the Chef--the food looks amazing. Really great video series Josh and team!

Glad he got his own experience before boot camp. Such an inspirational teacher and molder of young men. The boys and the school are lucky to have him!
