“Jim” actually did get an elbow to the face irl. They had to stop shooting for 45 minutes waiting for John’s nose to stop bleeding and to clean up the blood. Also, “Kevin” actually sank 14 throws in a row when filming.

The guy that plays Darrell is in almost every Seth Rogen movie ever made.

I was waiting for this episode! The Stanley dribbling always has me laughing 😂
Darryl's friend from the warehouse is Patrice O'neal one of the most respected comedians who died too young unfortunately keep up the vids! love from Brazil
First comment! From Scranton, Pennsylvania - home of the US Office! So glad you love it like we do! Loved how they always used real locations in Scranton. Loser bought dinner at Farleys, which was a great bar/restaurant in Scranton when The Office was on. Closed now, but missed.

Too bad all the filming was done in Southern California and if you're atleast vaguely familiar with U.S geography, it's painfully obvious. I mean, they straight up have palm trees visible in several shots lmao

@Utonian21 Although the set was in California, they added extensive detail and props from real places in Scranton, which is why the og commenter can recognize the mentioned business. In the Office Ladies Podcast, they talk about how the crew would get mugs, stickers, takeout boxes, all sorts of items from stores in Scranton to place in the Office set. So it’s not surprising someone would believe them to have filmed in Scranton when that was the intention of the showrunners.

It's well known to Office fans that Jenna Fisher ("Pam") and Angela Kinsey ("Angela") are BFFs, supporting each other through divorces, marriages, kids, and major medical issues (Jenna fractured four vertebrae in a fall and Angela stayed with her until other family members could arrive from out of town). They did not know each other before getting hired for the Office. In this episode, they were seated next to each other while the basketball scenes were being filmed, and this is where that friendship really formed as they just talked all day long when the cameras weren't rolling. After the show ended, they've remained very close and started the Office Ladies Podcast together, which is an Office rewatch podcast.
@5:24 🤣 Phyllis was an NFL cheerleader IRL.
Not sure if you guys already knew this, but BJ Novak (Ryan) and John Krasinski (Jim) went to high school together.
I really love to see others laughing at my comfort show. It's so amazing to see you watch it for the first time 😄
Wait til you see the Holiday episodes and meet Creed!!
I'm loving your reactions 😂. I got my Mom to watch a couple episodes, now she owns them all on DVD and can't stop making "That's what she said" jokes 🤣 You guys so need to watch the bloopers too, they're hilarious 💀🤣
I've seen the first few seasons of the office before, but with you two guys adding your Lively commentary and busting out some obscure movie trivia, it's a whole new viewing experience! But seriously I enjoy watching it along with y'all. See..? I'm not even from the south and you got me saying "y'all".😅
I think sometimes people don't give this season any credit at all, maybe it's the "worst" compared to the rest but I still enjoy it a lot, some people talk about it like it is atrocious and that's exaggerated in my opinion

It’s definitely not atrocious, but I do believe later seasons show why Michael would even be in his position. Had the character stayed like season 1 the whole way, it’d be hard to watch. When I introduced my wife (then girlfriend) to the show, I had her start at the Dundies as I felt it a better place for her to start (knowing her taste). Of course, now she’s seen all the episodes and it’s her favorite show...so it worked, or it wouldn’t have mattered at all. There’d be no way of telling.

It's definitely the worst of the early seasons but it sets up the whole show.

@@rizeagle33 I don’t think there’s a bad season in the run. Much like Parks and Rec, just took a bit to find the balance for the lead to be both lovable and blissfully ignorant.
Phyllis was an actual NFL cheerleader in St. Louis for a year in the 70’s.

True. According to wiki, she was also a burlesque dancer back in the day.
For those who are unaware, “Pam, bam, thank you, ma’am” is a play on the phrase “wham bam thank you ma’am” which obviously refers to banging. lol.

@@DNReacts Either way, that hilarious nugget deserves to be highlighted again. The writing combined with Steve Carell's improvisations makes The Orifice one of the best sitcoms ever.
The fact that the movie you recognize Craig Robinson from is Knocked Up is hilarious. You must have just seen that because that's such a small role. Good pull!

This is one of my favourite episodes. Thanks for the reaction, these edits are awesome
The British actor and comedian who played embattled David Brent in the UK original that he created, settled the debate when he appeared on The Tonight Show. “I thought the British Office was the best, but my accountant assures me that it's the American,” Ricky told host Jimmy Fallon.
I suggest you watch Patrice O'Neal’s stand-up The Elephant in the Room. He played Lonny from the warehouse. RIP 🙏🏾
Really enjoying these reactions. I know generally you don’t watch shows on your channel but Brooklyn 99 is also hilarious I think you’d enjoy
My favorite episode is "Scott's Tots". I know many disagree. I can't wait until they watch that episode. lol.
Holy $hit England! You boys having a heart attack? What a comeback!!! 2-1 now in ET!
Great commentary as always! Thanks for giggles.
RIP Patrice.
my favorite episode, god i love this show lol

You’re correct that we wouldn’t have recognized him from “Knocked Up”, when watching this back when it came out. Because the movie wouldn’t come out for two more years. 🤦♂️

Hi there, is there maybe a way of not blocking out part of the screen of the show? The Office absolutely rocks. :) Thanks
It seems like maybe you missed the point when you are rooting for Michael to "stick to his guns" at the end. The reason Michael calls the game over is because he found just found out from Angela moments before that his team is ahead and he's afraid of losing. The warehouse guys caught the cop out, THAT'S why they aren't backing down on working the weekend. They know Michael essentially cheated to win.
These first ones are pretty good but they get a lot better
Rip patrice O'Neil
Loved Brit "The Office" and the U.S. version good and popular. Sky rocketed Steve Corell's career. "EVAN ALMIGHTY" VERY FUNNY!!!😂 "40- year old Virgin" "ANCHOR MAN" And more!!!😅😄😃😂😅😄😃😂

Jim and Pam should be together.
I feel like Michael’s worldview is what a lot of people think, but don’t actually say. He’s cringy because he proclaims the quiet parts out loud.
Y’all have to just skip around and watch the Fire Drill episode. FUNNIEST OFFICE EPISODE EVER.
Pam's fiancé is a dork.😵😵😵😵
This show is so painful too watch. The amount of cringe is off the charts. Its like watching a slow moving car crash, but we all watch because we are sick inside. Lol.
