    The pressure of taking a winning (or losing) final shot in a Duke vs North Carolina game has to be greater than tectonic plates crashing together. It's actually unbelievable that guys who are teenagers or barely in their 20's can shoulder that much pressure with 20,000 people living or dying with every play.

    I have a suggestion that the ladies would probably enjoy. Look up Caitlin Clark from the University of Iowa. She's phenomenal... considered the female version of Steph Curry. She is the first person (male or female) to score a triple double in NCAA Tournament history. She has won every award possible this year except the national championship. But if you look up her highlights...

  • @brianh6

    @brianh6

    11 ай бұрын

    She had a 41 point triple double in the NCAA tournament this past season. There have been numerous other players with triple doubles in the NCAA tournament, but she is the only player to do it in either the men's or women's with at least 30 points. I think the guys would be impressed by her long range 3s too (there are some KZread videos about that). There are few players who can score with any consistency from where she shoots her longer 3s. Curry obviously, but after that I can't think of a better really long range shooter male or female. And of course her passing is also great.

    10:44 One of the biggest shots in NCAA Championship history. This was a great championship game and I recommend checking out highlights of the game if you can. It was the 2008 National Championship, the Kansas Jayhawks vs. the Memphis Tigers. Kansas came back from 9 points down with 2 minutes left to send the game to overtime with this shot. To date this is the only time in NCAA tournament history that all 4 one seeds made it to the Final Four. Memphis was had a record of 38-1 and Kansas was 36-3 heading into that game. Both teams were so good.

    To be fair, and this is my own opinion, if you lose to a half court prayer, all you can do is congratulate the other team. That's an unlikely shot to begin with, add the stress of the situation, and the interference of the defenders. That comes down to luck and if they're lucky, well played. It sucks to lose, but they won that gamble and that's an impressive gamble to win.

    6:24 Kentucky got the last laugh later that year in the tournament beating Indiana by double digits on their way to a national title win over Kansas. Probably one of the greatest college teams ever. Only 2 losses that season. The first 2 overall draft picks with #1 being Anthony Davis and historic like 5 in the first round or something.

  • @spencergrice3172

    I'm biased, but to me that regular season win meant more to Indiana fans that the tournament win did for Kentucky fans. It's important to understand that Indiana fans had been waiting so long for the team to be good again after Kelvin Sampson f*cked the program over for years. So when one of the most stacked teams of one-n-dones is CBB history (and a rival) came into town, and IU wins on a buzzer beater, it was the most euphoric feeling I've ever felt from sports.
