A huge part of their training is mental. I saw an interview of a former secret service agent, and they train them to not think about dying, they are trained to take a bullet and the thought of dying from the bullet doesn’t cross their mind, and the reason he retired from protection detail was because he had a kid and I believe the fear of dying started to cross his mind because of his child, so he transferred or retired or something like that because he couldn’t do his job right, by having thoughts or fears of dying while doing his protection detail.

I met a guy at the place my dad worked who actually worked on presidential limos and one thing he said was the windows had to go down 50% and you know that was thick ass very bullet-resistant glass. What it is rated at is probably a secret. I do know they have things like NBC type of stuff in the as well as very high-end communications. Again what they are is a secret. And I do know they take apart the vehicle and put it back together before it goes into service.

You didn't do the Navy Boot Camp, you did the US Naval Academy which you were told multiple times is NOT the same thing.

You guys should see the AOP (“attack on the principal”) drills that they run. Secret Service agents trained for everything from snipers, IEDs, chemical attacks, even shoulder-fired missiles against the motorcade. It’s super intense and very cool.

That could've been worded better. I think he's trying to say there's no room for mistakes. So their job requires 100 percent perfection or the mission fails.

Tear gas affects the mucus membrane in your body. Supposed to be very painful.

KZread used to have videos of training but my favorite is gone. it showed if a line of cars drives down a narrow street, and gets blocked in for an attack, how they can turn the whole row of cars around at the same time. It’s a synchronized backwards turn that’s a thing of beauty.

What was interesting about this video to me was that the secret service started as not just a security detail, but to combat counterfeit currency. I had no clue about the counterfeit angle, I just always figured they were high level military security guards with sunglasses and ear pieces.

Ironically President Lincoln singed the bill that created the Secret Service one month before he was assassinated.

Why? Because you were a Marine and you want to watch people say that you went through something hard? Give me a break. I went through it just like you. It was hard but it still doesn't suggest anything impressive about us. A very taboo fact that everybody who has been in the military secretly knows is that most recruits are incels/virgins who are leaving behind a really awkward and depressing life in highschool. Nothing impressive about it if most people who can do it fit that stereotype, and they do if we are being honest.

Wasn't Lincoln the first president killed by an assassin, I always thought that the secret service started protecting presidents after Lincoln
