British Columbia Steelhead Fly Fishing Part 2 - Steelhead Dreams

Спорт

Steelhead Dreams Part 1 and 2 were created for Catch Magazine's 15th and 16th edition back in 2010-2011. From the vault for the first time, T- Motion Theater presents Steelhead Dreams Part 2. Part 2 follows a mother, father and daughter growing up in the backcountry of British Columbia. Years later the mother/daughter team-- guide Hannah Belford and her incredible mother, Alice--are still working harder than ever operating a world class Steelhead Lodge in Northern B.C.
Camera work and editing by Todd Moen.

I feel very priviledge to have witnessed such pristine waters, shared such great time with Hannah, Alice and their staff. The food, the kitchen smell, the canoe, the moose, the grizzly and of course these huge bull trout and steelhead. Merci for what you bring to all anglers that love this secret place.

Absolutely Beautiful!!! I've had the fantastic fortune to travel and hunt & fish in this area, it is breathtaking! I'm getting close to retirement age so now I have to convince my wife we should live in this area of B.C.

+Earl K. Do it Earl. We may cross paths at some point. Living Off The Grid isn't that hard. Where there is a Will, there is a Way. Myself as well. Half retired. Just getting my affairs in order proper and am planning much the same as yourself.

Wow, what wonderful Skills, memories and artifacts this Lady has. I don't know if I can say many people, but myself anyway, could be dropped right into her lifestyle or next door to her Cabin and love every minute. I hate City Life. I recently bought a used Camper Van and if I have my way about it, going to travel the North from Saskatchewan to BC on a Safari. Won't be any surf boards involved on my safari, just a few reels, rods and a few hundred Flies. My Doggy and I. Bucket List, you know.

I've been fishing the Kenai and Naknek rivers for 32 years and have yet to break the 50 pound barrier. I've caught many in the 30 to 35 pound range. I'd say right in there at about 35. Now way that's 50.

I say few women like her 🙏💞 I as swedish 🇸🇪 definitely would move up there I'm a hunter fisherman and I love tie my flys for salmon and steelhead! I go fish BC and has friends there. I did live in USA for years as I'm was married. I'm back home in Sweden for now so Atlantic salmon is the big catch here ! I drove truck up in Alaska at winters and was there fishing at summer. Damn I'm miss this life very much....... Love see those skagit lines fly far and short 2 handed rods fit steelhead just perfect 👌 for salmon I'm use bigger gear as its bigger rivers. Best regards from Scandinavia and Sweden who looks like it there just smaller in size! Bjorn

  • @sirmegallot3276

usually by the size. Steelhead are just giant rainbows that get huge out at sea, then they return to the rivers to reproduce. Then they swim back out to sea. During this period you can catch these gigantic fish in the river!

+eddiecarlcalhoun That it is and can be Eddie. I am usually in Northern Saskatchewan for a couple of weeks late Summer every year. Not nearly long enuff. I actually have to pry myself back to reality. No noise, planes, trains and Automobiles. No sirens. Maybe the odd float plane over head. The Big Dipper times 20 to what we see from the city. The sky never gets completely dark. Northern lights. We should make an effort to enjoy our Countries unspoiled Beauty before someone comes along and Futzes it up for us.
