I love Eddie Izzard! He is totally hilarious and what I really like is that he doesn't talk about the same stuff other comiedians talk about.

I watched "Room with a View" in Germany, in english, but with a German audience. My Mum and I (brits) and our american friend were killing ourselves laughing in places no-one else was. That in itself was hilarious.

Izzard isnt as popular as some of the more edgy comedians that tread on more offensive topics. But I thoroughly enjoy his comedy, very light-hearted. Shows that comedy can be totally clean and pure and still be great.

What's funny is that Vader almost did sound like that. David Prowse, the guy who was actually in the Vader costume in the original trilogy, had a rather unassuming british accent. He performed all the dialog in the movies, but ended up being dubbed over later. Apparently other members of the cast poked fun at how unthreatening his accent was.

Hellwyck - They nicknamed him Darth Farmer and he mistakenly thought his voice would be used. Equally when Luke took off Vader’s helmet he thought his face would be used, him and George fell out over it so badly George has banned David from all Star Wars events and promos, and when a fan docu mocked up and filmed what it would have been like George banned that too.

Zetch_ Trust me, it’s not a small difference. It’s what you would call a hick accent. I bet you wouldn’t say the difference between Brooklyn and Mississippi accents is minute.

Classic routine. Still stands the test of time today. Even though to a modern audience the faux improvised style looks a bit dated, it's still beautifully crafted and brilliantly executed.

My favourite thing about Eddie is how he manages to start talking on a particular subject and then goes off at a complete tangent from that same subject but then eventually ends up back where he started, doesn't he? What to most of us would seem like a load of old bollocks if we tried to do it to others he manages to make sense out of it by going all around the houses, doesn't he?

The DVD gets better every time you watch it until 6 or 7 times.... This particular clip is IMPOSSIBLE to fully appreciate without 4 viewings.

I am an American who is proud to say I know my history very well and know damned good and well who general Lafayette was ...its embarrassing that most Americans don't. He was one of the greatest American heroes from the Revolutionary War. Without him we may not have won the war.

My fave line "My name is Pierre, I come from Paris, I've come to have sex with your family." I just love how Eddie says this. And of course how nobody knows who General LaFayette is. lol
