Thanks for reacting to this. Not all heavy metal is just screaming on the vocals and angry lyrics. This is just a different genre of heavy metal.

Type-O is an all time favorite of mine. I am glad someone finally got you to check them out. I hope you look at some of their 1990's live performances. I love to see someone hear that Type O Negative is much more than generic growing and screaming. Although there is a bit of that on their very early stuff. I like that they actually have a great sense of humor about themselves and their music, and the melodic doom and gloom. The last CD it much faster music, but still melodic.

Not bad, it had a good groove.

Nice Japcar, never heard of them before. "He's gonna hate this." -BP2 I Laughed pretty hard because my first thought based on the thumbnail was that it was metal and assumed the same. My bad BP1. 😁😊 This is cool and a blend of a few different sub-metal genres. I get Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, and another band from the late 80s that I simply can't place and the moment. One of them in different pictures looks a bit like a young Lemmy.

Thanks FFC! I really miss 90s music. Like you mentioned, they have shades of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc. in their songs. This kind of music brings back some good memories for me.

Also, also…. I’d really love for you guys to give me feedback on a video Edutopia (George Lucas Foundation) made of my teaching. It’s old, but I’ve since taught dual-credit for Austin CC and on-level BritLit at the same HS as shown from 2007-2022. In total, minus break for my illness, I taught there for 11 years. I felt as if someone flipped a switch and I finally knew how to think, despite have an MA. Well, it's not as heavy as I expected, and definitely not offensive, but it just feels repetitive to me. And the last section feels like it was there just to 'heavy' it up a bit. I don't mean to be critical. It's just not my genre...

Not the best choice of song for your introduction to Type O Negative. "Love You To Death", "Black #1" or my personal favorite "Anesthesia" would have been far better choices.
