Big thanks to Alan Humphrey for offering me a race in his Model Y Ford Heritage Stock Car number 253 and to Ben for filming me. I started off with a few practice laps then raced in Heats 2 and 3 and the final. Really enjoyed the experience and still buzzing. I know I was slow but it felt fast to me, I hope I didn't get into too many of the other driver's way...

What is the purpose for starting the cars in groups of four in different locations on the track? I'm in the USA.

Point are scored in each race. The more points you accumulate, the further back you start on the grid.

@billo353 Thank you. I have watched several videos of these races and wondered about the way they started. Fun to watch and enjoy the closeups of the cars in the pits.
