Great video! Did you do any more work to it since doing this video? What do you use for antifreeze in it?

Very little, I ended up moving, but hope to get it out this spring and finish up some stuff. I normally use john deere antifreeze, however this is a small enough engine I'd feel comfortable using automotive

@@Kerrage Perfect! Thanks for responding man! I have a 1955 John Deere 40 S. Just did an oil change on it and I think it could use a top up of coolant/antifreeze - so thanks for the information! 😎👍 Great video! Keep up the good work man! Hopefully you like your new place…? New subscriber here for sure!

@@Kerrage Sorry to bug you again... Do you happen to know how much antifreeze it takes from bone dry? (if I were to drain and replace the antifreeze that's in it? I've looked online and there's a few different numbers floating around... lol

@@howtobuildadream tractor data.com shows 14 qt, I don't know where my book is since I moved, but that site from past experiences seems to be fairly accurate, cant say it 100% correct but it's likely in the ballpark

@@brettroach3314 how is your restoration project? I have a 53 model 40t just got the pistons out of mine been stuck for 26 years. Been looking for other videos of there restoring project.

@@seankiverchuk4627 haven't gotten the pistons out of it yet. I had to find a replacement block because the pitting in the bores of mine are too deep, and the new block was cheaper than sleeving the block.
