Happy I found this channel. Ran tractor tugs on the Mississippi River for years before becoming a pilot 👍

Awesome video. Real interesting to watch. A perspective we rarely see. I’m stationed in an oil port so we get some pretty big tankers in with lots of tug activity. Unfortunately I’m land-based now so can only view from the shore. This is fabulous content, thanks for sharing - more please 👍

Love these videos! They are fairly rare on the Tube, and most are in languages I don't speak so it's nice with English videos. I also really like when you explain things, what you are doing and what the coms means etc :)

Awesome video Capt. showing the ship assist side of these cargo ship arrivals. I have rode along with pilots quite a few times here in Florida and I can tell you one thing, the local harbor tugs are worth their weight in gold. Love the Stick Figure music in the background, nothing better than listening to some Stick Figure while out on the water. 🤙

Nice video. Thanks! It has been at least 28 years since I assisted in the docking of a Zim ship into Port Elizabeth. So much has changed. I think most of my old boats are not allowed to work anymore. I spent most of my time on single-screw boats without flanking rudders and more time on single-screw flanking rudders boats than twin-screw boats. I never ran a Z-drive, tractor tug, etc. I recall one trip on the Bruce to take a big barge out of town, when a crew change was going to get messed up otherwise. However, a lot of the basics are still the same.

Awesome videos man. Love em. If I might make a few suggestions. Need another camera above front window looking back so we can see more of you controlling the boat. Better audio of you and perhaps less of the music. The inside humor on the radio was lost on your audience. No idea what was happening. Maybe explain in more detail what's being said and what it means for you to do in layman terms. Thanks and hope you keep em coming.
