@@grabeet also koalas aren't as cute as people think. I used to work for a wildlife rescue and you need welding gloves to handle them in case they bite or scratch you but a really sick koala will let you pick them up plus they stink and a lot of them have chlamydia

@@jewelxiat you have no idea, the baby also eats the mum's poo. basically koala's can't digest eucalyptus on their own (even though its their entire damn diet), so they get the necessary bacteria from the poo. Also have you heard and seen one call? it's terrifying

When you think about it, the way the villager is chosen for mystery islands is it first picks a species then picks a random villager in that species to be on the island, so with 35 different species and a 100% chance to have gonzo when a koala is picked it’s not that rare

Gonzo was my sister’s all time favorite villager. She passed away from cancer in January. I visit her island sometimes just to say hi to him.

Decided to do one last villager hunt for Sherb before the new update(Been hunting for him for over 2 months) Gave myself 10 tickets and told myself "If I don't find Sherb I'm just gonna cave and buy amiibo cards and hunt that way" FOUND SHERB ON THE VERY FIRST TICKET

Your luck for villager hunts went from 0-100 real quick. I know it’s different when you’re searching for a specific species as you said but still. I couldn’t believe it. So glad you got him and a full house now! PS also you getting rid of Sherb was painful to watch. RIP buddy.

I had Canberra on my island originally, but she was eventually sent off to live with my friends who live in the actual Canberra.

Im thinking about starting an all frog island, but i have Sasha, Ione, Raymond and Marshal on my island and I dont want them to leave. But at the same time i absolutely love the frog villagers

Gonzo: is everyone as neighbourly as you on your island? Ryan: oh don't worry Gonzo, you'll fit right in.... lol //meanwhile on Dyemund Ryan's non-koala residents have started to notice every time a neighbour moves out they have been replaced by a koala, and suddenly Stitches and Filbert notice Sherb left, with a sign saying Gonzo will be moving in and they start to get nervous.........

most of the koalas names and kangaroos are based of aussie pop culture like melba her name is based of my states capital city melbourne or sydney her name is based of new south wales states capital sydney or canberra which is pronounced “can-bra” is based of the capital city of australia also matilda who is based of a classic australian song called waltzing matilda. also most ostrich’s in ac are more of a emu ”austrlian bootlog” so in the end the hidden details of the australian animals names are really cute. love the vids ryan 👍

I did the same thing with Squirrels (no time travel, no amibo) on my side of the island (my island is split in half so I get 5 villagers). We just restarted our island two weeks ago and it took me less than 10 NMT to get 5 squirrels! … but one of them is Sheldon, and he’s not my favourite… I hope to replace him with Ione when she comes out ❤️ 🌌 🐿 My husband has Sydney (koala) and Sherb (goat) on his side. We lucked out and Sherb was our first campsite visitor.

I stumbled into this series hoping I'd see someone excited to find Canberra (one of my originals, very attached) so the Amiibo card is anticlimactic for me. That's my luck. On the topic, I find I have better luck with the Pro Controller holding the card sideways.

because you can kick out villagers using amiibo, so he wants to use his canberra amiibo to kick out the final non-koala villager. It will be a lot easier than trying to cycle through all 10 villagers trying to get the right one to want to move.
