Feel like it's to do with the mixing. No offence intended to him but I don't think he's a great singer. He gets by really well (better than me) but his vocals in recordings are extremely produced obviously. Not like it's much different to lots of singers. I still respect that he actually sings and doesn't lip sync.

This use to happen to me when I was in my metal band.. consistent isn't easy , and dont forget this is BBC so he probably song more songs before this All it takes to pull a vocal chord.. and it shows hear , confidence helps.. cause you gotta push past and break your vibrato.. in between it sounds like this. Why his tone is out.. why hes not going full range. Just my 2 cents. He can sing preddy well but on a quiet live set. It be quite scary to push your range. Incase you really go out of tone rather than sounding scrappy. U feel.. if you haven't vocalized in a band.. I dont think your comment matters.

Nah I have to disagree, BMTH are an example of a band that was formed by some mates in their late teens and early 20's in their garage, to now where they are in their 30's, waaay too old for this kind of music, and probably would rather settle down for a more rewarding job, involving a higher requirement for intellectualism, because hey we aren't going to be about one genre of music for eternity, I know my taste in highschool (which was all this kind of music) has changed now that I'm 23, with a much broader taste... I just think BMTH are stuck in this pop-metal genre and aren't able to do what they truly want to do... they seemed so bored and dull here. Bands like Jinjer are classically trained, proper musicians who have obviously been taught their respective instruments and are showcasing professionalism in their music. BMTH are more of a radio band that don't leave lasting marks like they used to(Pray for plagues for example), and here you have Jinjer who you could literally chuck on an entire live set and it sounds better than in studio, that's how good they are. This is my warped opinion of course, but worth mentioning I guess.

That deep growl was amazing. Not sure about those highs in this 1, and I normally love his screams. Everyone had their bad days, but this wasn't the best live performance compared to some super again ones I've seen. But like I said, everyone had their bad days. Still enjoyed it ❤️❤️
