The one good thing coming out of the Lannisters was Tyrion and then Jamie that kind of redeemed himself but still. They were the weakest links as a house, to egocentric, urge driven and cunning, no perception, to individuslistic which shows no actual gnostic function, even dothraki had a system and an emotionL and ethical evolution, they became more empathetically and smarter and it actually made them stronger. The Lannisters were the true barbarians here, with no empathy and no respect for their supposed allies nor opponents. And this is why King's landing deserved to burn, not to mention the little stunt they pulled during the dance and even before that during Jaehaerys's reing.
How dare you make me relive this
It felt so good to see Joffrey choke and bleed from his eyes and nose. I loved the way how he struggled for breath and how he died in the lap of his mother who literally made him the monster he is. He knew he’s dying and he felt the pain of death before he died. That’s befitting end for him you know not like killing him by chopping his head off or something like that. That’s painless death which joffery gave to Ned stark. Little did he know that the writers were cooking something more better for him.😂
This was the scene where Joffrey firmly established himself as the ultimate villain in this series. And my goodness, Jack Gleeson absolutely nails his performance. What an awesome actor.

The Starks continual fatal mistake is thinking that killing/jailing bad people before they kill you makes you a dishonorable bad person. Sometitmes the ends justify the means when the alternative is pure evil. The only one who realized that by the end was Arya and that's due to time spent with Sandor.
And this was the end for the Lannisters, even if they went through a lot of struggles, the Stark at the end were the real winners of the War, with a Stark ruling on Westeros (even if he can't procreate the previous dude who was like him before him lived hundreds of years which mean he may as well), a Stark ruling Winterfell and a half Stark ruling behind the Wall, while the Lannisters line is broken with Jamie and Cersei and their kids being dead and Tyrion who can't have children

Not trying to humanize Jeoffrey here, but the man was king and Lord Stark admitted to treason, what he did here wasn't wrong since death was the punishment for treason. Sure thing, there are other ways of showing strenght -that is just stupid. In typical feudal society all the traitors family and possibly some caded branches with allies would immediatly start ploting against him… Machiavelli would give him such an advice to at least have the love and strenght of the people brought to such an extent, that their possible fury after his demise could scare off the conspirators from assassination, but he fails even on that front… Well, it didn’t work with some of the Roman emperors, but surely worked with Caesar… Caesar, who has excercised clemency on all sorts of peoples, just as much as he was „hatin those traitors and lovin treason” himself lel He pulled it off perfectly, while our young princeps should have listened to his wife.
