Someone finally created a hologram that i've been wanting to do for decades.

after seeing about 5,000 videos with 2d displays claiming to be 3d holograms, this is like a breath of fresh air, awesome tech

I guess! This is the same principle as fan based imaging. I need to write a display driver program that works with a high-speed rotating inner liner. If there is a vacuum inside, I think it will reduce the generation of noise.

How doest it work though

It's a rotating grid of bright LEDs that show the color of the voxels when they get to them. Human eyes have this thing called persistence of vision where momentary bright spots stay in vision for a short bit, so people see the full image by showing different parts of the image in quick succession.

Just realised 360 spinning is not true 3d. Still very cool

@@li_tsz_fung It's true 3D. Each 3D pixel can get momentarily lit by the rotating display, and because of persistence of vision it appears to stay lit.

How noisy is it?
