Bridging a Font with FontForge for Plasma and Laser Cutting - Part 1

Although I don't need to bridge anything thank for you for this. I like that don't.

Could you just create rectangles and cut the un-needed vectors?

I tried that first, but it's not quite that simple. Fonts are built of directional splines, the direction sets if the area is filled with black or nothing. It took me hours of fooling around just to figure this cut tool. There's not many fontforge videos to show how to bridge. Most are about creating a font from scratch, a large learning curve and more than anyone wants to know. I published a print newsletter in the 90s and got into this stuff back then.
