    Valuable information thanks a lot I’ll be testing the V02 3LC today and then I’ll decide which tire I will run on my local championship since I’ve been using Pirelli SC1 past year which for the hot topical weather here comparing with Dunlop and Michelin offers better performance at fast times never try Bridgestone slicks so I have high expectations

  • @Focused_Veteran

    @Focused_Veteran

    @@100penas Fantastic tyre bud, compared to the V02 slick there's no doubting that the V02 has more upright grip, but the Dunlops hold just as well really for us mere mortals, plus they last longer, if they are good enough for the blokes at the TT they'll be good enough for me.

  • @sk2283
    @sk22833 жыл бұрын

    V02’s I find are really good, they love to be hot - very hot! and wear rate is good but they have quite a stiff carcass so the feeling is a bit different if you come from Pirelli slicks, the front feels very composed and stable for me, from a grip & braking point I love them but from a feel point not quite as much as the Pirelli. I found the medium rear wore too fast and a bit inconsistent but the soft rear is excellent and much better wearing than a Pirelli. Tyres can be very personal - strange but you get 3 guys on the same bike and they will all be running different tyres for different reasons Another great video - thanks Abhi 😀

    hi abhi what is the optimum running temp for vo2 190 rear med compound as wish to run some dash parameters for my heat tire sensors plz

  • @ChasingTenths

    @ChasingTenths

    3 жыл бұрын

    Temperature is very subjective area that’s why I didn’t mention them in particular, so ideally, going out of the pits on a warm Day, when you take the warmers off they should be between 68 to 78 degrees And on track on a warm day You should maintain them at that level too Anything over 65 degrees while riding is a excellent temp But running temperature really depends on the ambient and track temperature plus how many red flags or yellow flags, people in the group , people holding you up , and the talent of the Rider .... let me know if you need more detail on it Thanks for watching mate And your comment

    thanks for your answer my brother my last 2 cents... we had very abrupt grip loss with the metzeler TD slicks and a harsh crash of a good friend which made us distance ourself from them. for any beginner searching a durable and cheap tire i would recommend the conti track slick in the rear. we get 3 days out of it and we aint that slow ;D@@ChasingTenths

    Optimal tyre pressure I have found is 36psi when hot. Generally when the tyre is cold I start from about 31psi, and adjust psi to suit the day. Ie, hot/cold weather. I found the Bridgestone recommendations to be too low.

  • @ChasingTenths

    @ChasingTenths

    2 жыл бұрын

    I was speaking to a tyre guy at Donington who works in bsb tyre support and he mentioned that most guys in bsb are running 36 psi hot I started running the same pressures last year and I found the bike would turn much better , no issues with tyre surface and less effort too So you are spot on there Ian
