Bridges of Washington State

Bridges are something we take for granted and never appreciate their importance to us until they get taken away. I take to see some of the bridges I've visited. Maybe we should take a little time and love the bridges we use every day.
In this video I will give you a tour of some of the bridges I've used and been amazed by. The diversity and genius designs are widely different and some of them are truly works of art. I hope you will enjoy seeing them and maybe you will see bridges where you live that intrigue you too.
There a many more bridges in Washington that have not been included and if you have a favorite, please leave me a comment below. Thanks.

The vantage bridge reminds me of The Sydney Harbor Bridge in Australia with its design. Have you ever heard of the strong winds in Vantage ?

We lived in that part of our state for a few years and the Chinook winds that come over the mountains were very familiar to us. There are also winds through the Columbia River Gorge, between Washington and Oregon, that are famous. Windsurfers come to the Gorge to surf on the river. Thanks for your comment.

The way I understand it is that when the warm, moist air from the ocean hits the mountains and is forced over the top where it drops it's moisture. Then the dried air rushes down the other side of the mountains and result is the strong winds called Chinook. Eastern WA, Oregon and the southern part of Canada all experience this phenomenon.
