Even in the book Lady Whistledown, it is mentioned how at some of the parties they attend together that he dances with Kate more times than most husbands.

Am sorry but anthony’s head tilt while walking to kate was THE EXACT SAME he gave newton last season when he saw him through the door and i can’t unsee it 😭😭

One of the things I hated in the Polin book was that Penelope lost a bunch of weight before the book and that was part of Colin seeing her in a new light. I am so glad the show is not taking that direction. I’m so excited to see a plus sized girl in a regency romance as a lead too. And she is so stunning.

Kanthony going from having to hide their feelings from everyone the first time they danced to kissing in the middle of the dance floor - THIS is romance

I hope for less Featherington family plotline and more Francesca and the Stirlings. Being introduced to John, (possibly) Michael and Sophie is quite wild.

@@FullofLit it has to be why they changed the order. They needed those Featherington actors for Polin and didn’t want them to get signed to other projects for a year and then be stuck when they need them back, so they moved them to now and then we will wish them well from here on out

It may have also been that they wanted to lump the seasons that they needed them for together so that they did not have a gap where they had to pay them without using them or loose the actresses.

I hadn't thought of it this way, but that makes a lot of sense. Still don't forgive them for overusing the Featheringtons as I do think they gave them too much 'filler' in season 2 when what we should have had is more Kate backstory, imo, but I'll take it if we lose them after season 3 and we get to keep Kate in future seasons.

Jonathan Bailey touching his face and rubbing his chin every time he looks at Kate from season 2... Gold. And the heavy breathing of when he's with her and the sighing yes

Oh and seeing Anthony and Kate dance was wonderful and the little kiss they shared was perfect!

Polin is what i have been waiting for since season 1 😅

I'm terribly in love with Jonathan Bailey and it's definitely all those cute little flirty moments... Like the season finale when he asks Kate to dance and says, "Will you say yes?" with the eyebrows... Dear Lord, I'm dead!

To be completely honest... I was hoping for season 3 to be Benedict's season, but that Kanthony teaser has hyped me up for the season we're getting. Thanks for another video, always a nice companion with my dinner ❤❤

I think this may be a bit of a dramatic season given she is lady whistledown and in the show she is out here doing more than making colour comments on people's dresses so doing Benedict next will be a change of pace since it is a Cinderella retelling.

Benedict and Sophie's story is my favorite!! I was very disappointed at first but I am coming around and basically dying in the wait!

The Feathertons provide comic relief. Too much time was spent on their storyline last season, but it served a purpose.

This is by far my favorite of the Bridgerton novels. Many dont like it as much, but as you said, I feel it is very much Penelope's story. Colin definitely has an arc in the book, but it's really Penelope's growth that grabs the reader's attention. She is the primary character. She takes center stage, learns to love and stand up for herself, which makes everyone truly see how amazing she is.

I think Pen and Colin’s story is friends to lovers but it also has a she fell first but he fell harder kind of vibe and we better get that carriage scene 😂

5:50 i feel the same way cause idk colin doesn’t have a personality to me, especially compared to the intensity of anthony and the romanticism of daphne, colin is just kinda there. i’m rooting for pen in s3, but i care more about her getting away from her family, fixing her friendship with eloise and “getting her man” than i actually care about colin at all. (and of course i’m eagerly waiting for married kanthony).

I definitely see what you mean. Colin gave me golden retriver energy and idk why. Book Colin had me side eyeing him at times but overall was meh to me

I was literally just talking about this in a video I filmed last night lol, so I'm about to feel like a broken record, but I gotta say it here too. I totally agree with you that the long-term unrequited crush brand of friends-to-lovers is so hard to pull off because I feel like it really puts the friendship on unequal footing and then that goes unaddressed when they do end up pursuing a romantic relationship and so the romantic relationship still feels like they're on unequal footing. Like you said, Colin is well and truly knocked off that pedestal now, so that's a step closer to them being on even playing ground. She can really stand up to him and challenge his idea of their friendship and be like you have not been a friend to me the way you think you have. And then, she can really get to know Colin as an entire person, not just her idealized version of him. However, I also think we saw little hints last season that Colin also puts Pen on a pedestal a little bit. He kept talking about how constant and loyal she is and we as the audience knows she's doesn't feel worthy of that praise and why she feels that way, but he clearly doesn't. I think as he's helping her build her confidence this season, he's gonna have his very idealized version of her in his head that makes him feel really insecure and so the shoe's gonna be on the other foot this season. He's gonna have to get to know all of her, not just the version of her he's built up in his head and then they will well and truly be equal partners and love each other completely and I can't wait 🥹 Okay, I feel like this comment is way too long to talk about the secondary plot lines, but I'm also very excited about those. I'm excited for married Kanthony THAT LITTLE KISS DURING THEIR DANCE I CRIED

We hopefully won't see the Featheringtons as much after this season. I'm so so excited to see married kanthony, Francesca finally speaking and hopefully a foundation for Benedict being the next lead

I was watching a podcast, and they discussed some easter eggs they saw in season 2 of the show of how season 3 and 4 were gonna be switched. The first example was when Anthony and Kate were about to dance in the finale episode, Anthony asked Kate how many fingers his was showing her. It was 3, then he changed it to 4. Another example was when Benedict was collecting his items from the academy; when he was closing his toolkit, he used 4 fingers, and the camera focused in on that.

Jonathan Bailey, the man that you are. The only man to not disappoint me 😌

I am sure that this Kanthony clip is from ep 1 fitst ball of the season. The wall color also Penelope has the same dress and in 'Goodnight Mr Bridgerton ' clip we see they are standing outside Lady Danbury's house

I am at minute 8:03 and you are talking about the Fetheringtons. I actually enjoyed the plotline and loved Portia’s ruthlessness. For me it emphasized Pens (and her sisters) precarious situation, making Colin’s comment even more cruel. Her father was murdered and now they have no head of the household and no income, showing even more why Pen needs to be Lady Whistledown. So, plotwise and regarding Pens development, for me it made totally sense why Portia would behave like this. It actually saved her and her daughters from the downfall into poverty. And Colin and also Eloise are totally blind to their situation, because they have never been in the same position (Anthony might have understand it…). Regarding Pen and Portia, for me Portia’s bravery and cleverness shows us where Pen might taken hers from. (I don’t say their relationship is not a toxic one or that I think Portia’s morals are great but she is able to be tough when necessary).

I think there's a few reasons for them focusing on Colin and Pen in season 3. One, they probably want to gently write out the rest of the Featheringtons. They probably also want to actually introduce Francesca well before her season, since due to timing stuff she hasn't been in the show very often. What I see as happening is Pen & Colin this season, with Francesca getting married around the end of part one or beginning of part 2, Benedict befriending John & Michael while setting up season 4 for him.

I'm just super excited to FINALLY see a curvy girl as the romance center in these period shows, because the leading lady is always usually pretty skinny and I just never felt my body type was ever represented. I'm just veryyyy excited to see Penelope and have Colin feel her wrath since she's in her Lady Whistledown villain era 😎

I feel like at this point, they have to mix some of the siblings stories. Like it can't be just one leading character. Apart from Penelope here but she's not (yet) a Bridgerton. So I quite agree with you when you say stuff like introducing one, speaking about another, have a glimpse of another one... For Benedict, Francesca and maybe even some developpement for Eloise, because for me, the books about Ben and El were quite poor (and awfully misogynistic and cruel) and it makes sense to me to mix them (and please rewrite them urgghhh.) I totally agree with you about Francesca as well : such a great and steamy story to come !! I also can't wait to finally see what Penelope can do for herself with a self-confidence she deserves so much. I wonder how Lady Withledown will behave this season ...? As always, thank you for your analysis, I find you terrific, very enjoyable to watch, quite pertinent and hilarious ! 😊🌷(As a conclusion, please do excuse my english, I'm french !)

Omg the head tilt reminded me of when Anthony is walking down the steps of Aubrey hall to go towards Kate after he see's her come down from the carriage and admire Aubrey hall. Its the same even his hands are behind his back...its almost like he is thinking to himself " there you are" whlst he smiles and tilt his head bashfully...GOD he is so sweet and HOT!!!

As much as I do agree that this season looks like it’s going to focus on Penelope’s storyline more than it did the non-bridgerton leads in previous seasons, I don’t think she will outshine Colin in any way. I feel like it’s going to be them both stepping out of the shadows and finding their voices since they’re both outsiders in their own ways. Colin’s character definitely felt more bland and maybe even uninteresting than the rest of the bridgerton siblings in the previous seasons and thats actually exactly how Penelope feels herself compared to the rest of the ton. But I feel like if you actually focus on their characters individually there’s a lot to unpack there. Even with Colin, as he seems like a very insecure person in hindsight to me. It’s almost like he puts this flirty charming persona to feel more seen and heard when in actuality he is a bit of a nerd, just like Penelope. I would love to see all of that being explored. I think this season is going to be Pen and Colin accepting themselves and becoming confident in who they are while also falling in love with one another. I really hope the writers did these characters well (i have a lot of faith since season 2 delivered!) All in all I’m really excited to see how their journey is going to be. enjoyed the vid !!

Fully agree with you. We've had so little of Colin's internal life in the past few seasons, especially how he feels about himself - if ever there was a time for him to shine, it's NOW.

I think Johnny has said that he loves the show and would keep coming back for every season. It might not be full time though - this might be his last full time season. He might do like one episode a season eventually, just for the big family moments (weddings, etc). But he has said he wants to walk all the sisters down the aisle (Eloise, Francesca, Hyacinth), so I think he would at least show up for those moments - he seems to love the entire cast and crew a lot. As for Simone, I have no idea. She might get busier and busier too, so who knows?

My one thing with season 3 is that while I do want Colin to know that Pen is LW, I hated the way it was revealed to the ton at the end of the book. I feel like the show needs LWs voice so I do want that to continue. My ideal wrap up to that is that it remains a secret and she just retires at the end of the show without anyone else ever finding out.

Penelope family, they assume she will not marry because they do not consider her a beauty. She does not have the height, not the weight as her sisters. Her mother, while not the best person, did choose her daughters vs leaving them behind, so it’s important to acknowledge that.

I agree with a lot of what you said, especially your Kanthony thoughts, except I'm not even a fan of Penelope so Polin doesn't interest me going in (I am basically mostly only excited for Kanthony), but I like to think I can be open-minded and I'm prepared to be swayed by the writers on Polin. Same! I'm not a huge fan of Penelope, and Colin...lol, couldn't care less about him haha But I'll tune in hoping for lots of Kanthony and some scenes setting up other Bridgerton romances. Not expecting S3 to top S2, but I guess we'll see!

I think the that the teaser won't come until next Tuesday if the promotion for season 2 is anything to go by. However it could come any time now. I can't wait for Francesca's story. Thanks for doing this as it is fun to have someone to talk about it with. One concern I have is that it seems like they have a fair amount of main character story lines to include that I am kind of surprised that they are going off book and adding in new story lines as well. This season they need to launch Benedict's story line and Francesca's and Eloise's in addition to including Kanthony and telling Polin's story. That is a lot to do and still add extra plot lines.

I am soooooo hyped for season 3! The Bridgerton universe is fantastic! The production quality always baffles me! I wish they weren't releasing it in 2 parts with the parts being one month apart though. How do they expect me to cope??? AARRRGGHHH

I have a question, that was caused by that scene of Penelope telling Colin she´s a spinster. Cressida is also going to be at least in her third year(I don´t remember if she debuted with Daphne). So unless they tell us that she married last year off screen, i wonder if they will address that. Just because Cressida is the only antagonist type of character in the series and she is especially mean to Pen. And considering she does have that confrontation dynamic with Penelope regarding Whistledown in the books, I doubt that they will omit it from the show. And I get that the Kalpas are more respected than the Featheringtons , but that still leaves the question of how Cressida can´t get a husband although she´s supposedly so beautiful and rich, and comes from a respected family. Will she say she´s Whistledown because she´s desparet and wants attention? So im just wondering how the show will go about that whole dynamic of Cressida bullying Pen although she doesn´t have much ground to stand on.

I'm here for Michael Sterling's BDE!!!! I swear that is the best of the whole book series. But I think they are going to mix the seasons and introduce Sophie for Benedict since he meets her twice. So intro and that true meetup next season. And Eloise (most hated book that I hope they change a bit) can be wrapped up in less than a season. The younger kids can be a combined season. I really doubt Bridgerton will get 8 full seasons.

Kate's look was so stunning.... She had that fairy-godmother aura about her. The way she was styled definetely made her stand out in a very gorgeous way. She looks like a mythical nymph who is there to take all the eyes on her and yet will make you shine. Woof.... The costume and makeup department really did an amazing job. Now Kate looks way more beautiful than Edwina, the whole ton infact. I am guessing Pen's new friend would be Kate. After Eloise drama, Pen needs someone to hype her up. I guess her wardrobe was redesigned by Madame Delacroix, but the idea that she can pull off a different look must have come after a breif interaction with Kate.

The most important thing for me and my satisfaction is that Julie Andrews lives to narrate the whole series to completion. If anything happens which interferes with this I will not be OK. It would be like HP without Maggie Smith. I could never get over it.
