Colin said he didn't see Pen as a woman last season cause she was just a friend. I think seeing her look nicer got his attention at the party but knowing she enjoyed his "intimate" writings made him realize she wasn't s*xless. Many men in that time had a madonna/wh*re complex where they saw their wives/ ladies as too pure or respectful to be naughty with for pleasure like a mistress/ lady of the night. Like how Pen's sister's husband only kissed despite being married for a year! That kiss at the end for sure rewired Colin's brain to see Penelope as a FULL woman instead of only a madonna. In his writing, Colin mentioned that he felt emotionally distant from his past partners despite sharing physical intimacy. He already had emotional intimacy with Pen as friends, so that kiss must have felt NEXT LEVEL to him. Sorry for the long comment. I'm an overthinker lol. The next 2 eps felt like a roller coaster of emotion

i do find it true that a friendship breakup is more painful than a romantic breakup cuz when it comes to relationships, you always have that thought in the back of your head that this could possibly end, but when you start a friendship with someone, it is highly unlikely that you think "oh i might not be friends with this person forever". when you have a friendship, you dont expect it to end

@@shanafehr it definitely didn’t need to be said, but I do think Colin would have put two and two together on why it would be suspicious if LW hadn’t written about the rumors, especially since he already has a poor opinion of her.

Pen gave herself away to Colin when she said "it would have been suspicious if she had not" when he mentioned LW writing about them, but he got too horny to notice. Once he finds out Pen's Lady Whistledown, I have no idea what'll happen. The queen noticed her at the party for the first time in the show, I think this might mean that she'll be found out by the queen soon. I wonder if she'll punish Pen or let her go on out of respect for her hustle. LW has entertained her, she cannot deny that.

Colin and Penelope have such great screen chemistry. I love that we still got some of Kate and Anthony. They're so cute. I adore how we're getting more of the Mondritchs. They've gone from literally struggling to get by, with him taking dives in fights to make money, to now literally being parents to a Baron. Love the luxury for them

I, too, have not gotten over the lack of Kanthony wedding. I’m pretty sure we’ll get a Polin wedding (hopefully at least), which would make Kanthony the only bridgerton main couple so far to not get one ☹️

Well in the books when Colin finds out Pen is Lady Wistledown by following her to a church at night and he was more upset that she went out at night by herself because she could have been hurt than he was when he found out her secret. He also spent the rest of the night running all over town rousing support for her once the secret came out.

I love the dynamic of Eloise, Penelope and Cressida, because they're all similar and different in their own ways: El and Pen are smart and opinionated, Pen and Cress come from tough families and are just trying to find a match and El and Cress come from respectable families and feel the pressure of expectations on them. And they could be very good friends, all 3, if Eloise knew how to listen to others and empathize with people around her instead of thinking she's the only one with a brain, Cressida stopped being mean and could think about what she wants instead of just following what her family and the ton says and Pen would stop hiding and speak on what she thinks. And since all 3 of them are already changing (El sees harmful consequences of her actions, Cress gets called out and holds back the gossip, Pen is so tired of everyone's bs she's finally speaking out against her sisters and expresses her real thoughts) I'm really excited of what's to come.
