Same thoughts. Season was purely art. The actors acted the shiz out of their roles. The entirety of the production came through with such grace, it's amazing but my fave would be Queen Charlotte. It was top tier.

This is what we didnt get with polin. As someone who has not read the books, I rewatched it several times, and at no point did I feel that that attraction was earned. That there was that magnestism. Or that there was real yearning, while they were close, or that there was even chemistry while they conversed. Penelope has more chemistry with that nature guy.

I think y’all forget that polin is a build up over seasons. With Daphne and Simon and Kanthony they had just met and there was automatic chemistry. With polin there was a slow burn Penelope knew from the get go but Colin didn’t. If you read their book you would know she was out for multiple seasons before that time even comes. Even when their time comes it’s still a slow burn until episode 4 when Colin finally realizes he loves Penelope. I think you guys are so used to this automatic chemistry between the characters of season 1 and 2 that y’all forget love can be a slow burn. So yes it’s not chemistry on Colin’s side at first but as the episodes progressed and then as we get part 2 i think yall would see that Colin begins to yearn for Penelope I think you even see that in episode 4.

It might be helpful to watch some of the fan compilations of Polin interactions and history from seasons 1 and 2. The build up is absolutely there. They simply didn’t have to force in a bunch of scenes this season building up their relationship because it was already there. What they did show was Colin’s slow awakening, and I think they did that well.

OMG I feel exactly the same! Even tho there have been scenes in previous seasons those interactions are one sided and not v meaningful or memorable

This will forever be my fav Bridgerton story. There were a lot of little subtle stolen moments like this through out each episode that made the story, the connection, and chemistry between them seem so beautiful and magnetic. I kind of wish they didnt rush the ending of there story with the whole have the baby then live happily ever after thing. But i know its the nature of the books to have each story focused on one Bridgerton sibling then move on i guess.

Agreed. The last 2 episodes were definitely rushed, but the build up and climax of their relationship was definitely the best.

So far it’s Simon and Daphne, Charlotte and George for me. Simon and Daphne’s built up of their love is based on friendship, finding the common ground to get both what they wanted and eventually overcoming insecurities and loving even those things in the past that made them who they are now Charlotte and George is choosing to love and be each other’s partner in-spite of and despite of, the love that endures, love that is patient and kind. Love that accepts you for who you are not by what you can get out of it.

I missed Simon and Daphine so much in Season two 😭😭😭

They need to make a separate show thing that's all about daphne and simon! Like I need more of them, their relationship, etc!!

My favorite couple. The queen and just George is cute don’t get me wrong but the way the Duke and Daphne love blossomed😍is top tier.

Moments like this are always better than sex scenes, there's more dynamics to play with

Honestly, their sex scene in episode 5 was pretty well done as well. Only episode 6 did they just go all out with it 😂

this will always be by FAR the best of all subsequent stories. The Actors Phoebe and Rege were electrifying. None of the other story have had the impact that the first one did.. and its a SHAME that Shonda couldn't work things out with the Actor.. and he got let go..

Seems that Shonda has a bit of an ego because she and a scriptwriter is taking liberties with Francesca, John and Michael storyline.

Favorite scene, and there were many: Artist trying to paint their official portrait but they were at war with each other. The gorgeous image was on display at the final ball. Little things like the two of them in the middle of that vast meadow; the way he offered her his arm as they went to greet their guest at the final ball. This show was really good. Now I must re-watch AGAIN‼️💞

They were honestly the cutest couple in bridgerton series 🥹 the romance the attraction woww

It’s moments like this why season 1 has a better main romance than season 2. Kate and Anthony just didn’t have moments line this where their romance built.

i think Kate was a little annoying, aggressively oppositional, combative from the beginning , and so so angry at the guy she loved, even when he hadn’t done anything yet , and a real snake to her sister

Ohhh, I absolutely LOVED this scene!!!

I couldn’t even watch any of the other characters, knowing that Simone and Daphne won’t be back in the other seasons. I understand that the other characters deserve the respect and the growth of their storylines being viewed/told, but at the same time, Simon and Daphne were such powerful, potent characters that they almost put a spell on the viewer.

You are 100% correct. They are symbiotic. I can't think of another couple whose energy permeates the screen to reach the audience. Yes, I do appreciate Kate and Anthony, but they are a far distance behind Kate and Anthony. Colin and Penelope have absolutely no chemistry at all.

For season 1 I think I felt the yearning for these two, felt the tension/attraction, also burned for them with them. But didn’t quite feel this way in the other two seasons to be honest.

season 1 and charlotte is the best chemistry.

Certainly, the character of the Duke will return in the person of another beautiful and talented black actor. There's no shortage of options. 😉

If I remember correctly they did start in opposite directions then the Duke turned to look at the same painting as her. I can't remember everything but I think that's how it happened.

It does. But in modern times, it is only possible if the people are in high school, as after that, their is too much baggage on both sides to experience anything pure.

I dont get why everyone is so in Love with that couple? 1. She is such a clueless child 2. They are not good For each other, she litterally raped him! 3. She didnt even had a big charater arc after that, wining and begging and making up for violating him like that. At some point he just got over the rape and just had kids with her. Imagine the roles reversed. She vowed due to deep trauma to never have kids. He saw it as his right to have kids with her, raped her, hoping to baby trap her. And at some point she just gave in and gave him kids ... Like why is no one talking how bad and toxic the First season was?!? Have we all not watched the same show?

It is my favourite story i did not like the 2nd season because it was quite boring and the couple's chemistry was aloof

Agree in part. I loved Season 1 but Season 2 lost me. The slow burn was way toooooo s-l-o-w. And then there's Anthony. I'm sorry to say the actor is not a romantic lead. But Simon and young King George, perfect casting‼️
