I feel like the feelings are really starting to fly all over the place in this episode! we are seeing Colin being a bit jealous and starting to truly realize his feelings for pen! I LOVED the conversation between him and violet, my heart was melting. lord debling seems so incredible so I am truly curious to see if he is going to end up with Cressida or not 🤔 Penelope was so into Colin pulling on that balloon she couldn't get out of the way 🤣 girl, we get it. Francesca has also met the man the Queen is wanting to set her up with and I'm not sure I'm loving the vibes between them but violet is sending sparks towards Lady Danbury's brother? so that's a plot twist and a half.... also BENEDICT HAS A LADY MAYBE? 🩶

Lol, Colin wrote a whole fanfic, with a harlequin aesthetics about himself and Pen. I think for Colin kissing her was like a slap on the face because he realised some of his feelings for her were never truly just friendship. But also, he thinks she doesn't reciprocate and she's acting cool about it when he's a mess. lol

yes totally agree! it really unlocked his feelings for himself to try to process and deal with whereas for her, I feel like it was her kind of letting the fantasy of him go so she could try to fully find someone else, of course, that wasn't ever going to happen 🩶
The difference between Penelope and the other unmarried young ladies is that in her time on the marriage mart, no man has expressed interest in her. She only dances with Colin (and in the books, Anthony and Benedict) which looks like an act of kindness due to her being a family friend. She doesn't have any callers, and no one seeks her out. So her prospects are a lot less plausible than the other women.
