The reason for that being the sister. It's usually with an only child, that the one girl has to fulfill mums only chance for her dreams to come true. And it's usually mums with 3+ kids that are more relaxed with everything than one child parents.

This sister wasn't trying to make it about herself! She was genuinely trying to protect her sister from an obvious big mistake. Her mother was supportive in the wrong way! That was not kind of the mother at all. If you love your daughter, you try to protect her against her own mistakes. Like numerous others suggested: the sash could have been in or around the bouquet. Then it would have been a fun accessory instead of an overpowering eyesore.

Even camo shoes could work, as the dress is floor-length anyway. Bride and groom could do matching camo print formal shoes and it could be fun as they are into that.

nah, i think the sash fits the theme of the wedding. they're gonna be outdoors, riding ATVs, the reception's probably gonna be in a barn or an elk lodge, i can respect the bride for wanting to tie her dress to all that with a camo sash. i'm just not sure they picked a *material* that compliments the sash, but i've seen way worse bridal looks than a nice lace dress with a camo sash.

Why are people acting as if she poured blood or mud on her dress? It's just another accessory. It fits the theme of the wedding and I'm sure not a lot of people noticed it was put on, maybe they just thought it was a part of the dress.

Wow !!! There is nobody that could have made this work but for Monte. Even I was panicking about the sash looking alright and it's not my day. Monte just knows and he can just about make anything look so good. What a talent!!

What I honestly was thinking almost throughout the entire clip was that why are they SO against of doing what makes the bride happy? Like, if she wants to have the camo there how is it going to affect everyone elses' lives? At the same time, altough I'm not anywhere near a professional myself, I understand that a wedding dress with camouflage might not visually be exactly the best combination... If it's what makes HER happy at HER own wedding, why is it such a big problem?

Guys, I’ve found the perfect compromise: She keeps her sash. She has a nice classically elegant ceremony. Instead of wearing the sash at the ceremony, she and her husband tie their rings to the sash. They make their vows on the camo. She takes the now unbound sash and wears it to the reception, as their love is now bound to one another instead of the hunter-spirit. They have a warm, unassuming, rustic campfire at the reception. After a moving speech acknowledging that their love binds them together like the sash once bound their promises, her sister sacrifices the sash to the fire. The vows of the sash become one with the infinite universe and the sash transforms into the ultimate form of camouflage as the camosash is incinerated out of existence. Everybody is pleased by the sash-crifice (albeit for different reasons). Everybody cheers.

But... Jessica wasn't making it about herself at all. She was a Good sister, trying to honestly and lovingly protect her sister against a very stupid and costly mistake. Had only the mother loved the bride enough to help overcome such gross stubbornness and help her find a way to integrate that ugly sash any other way. Her mother actually assisted in getting her daughter bride to get beat down by her own doings. It's one thing to respect individuality. It's another thing, to do that in a kind and smart way, as in helping the bride not disfigure herself.

I love the way her mom supporting her.😊

Why not tie the sash around her bouquet or incorporate it into her hair? A little subtlety goes a long way.

Best accessory I’ve ever seen on a bride’s dress: her father was killed in the line of duty. She wore his badge on the back of her dress where it all came together. It was stunning. And it took your breath away as she walked down the aisle. Not only that, but she was marrying one of our Game Wardens.

The thing is this doesn't seem like that big of a deal. Like a store near my hometown had a completely camo dress, and people are always incorporating camo into their wedding wear. I just don't understand why everyone's throwing a fit over one belt when it's obviously important to the bride that it's on there.

When the bride said with the second dress: i still want the sash, monte's face was like: end my suffering
