If you are having a destination wedding, wouldn't you want the guests to know as soon as possible in case they need to save up for the trip, plan time away from work, etc,?

I love how the consultant at the beginning says “is there a budget I should be respectful of?” And then the first dress she pulls is almost 200 dollars over her budget 🤦‍♀️

This particular consultant (and version of Say Yes) is NEVER respectful of the budget. Unless they come in with a really high budget, then the bride is put in a dress around 1000 and sometimes they put her in one that's less!

If the bride had really wanted that one, if I was the mom I would have thrown-in $500, but I get that not every parent wants to or is capable of doing such. There are a lot of similar dresses that are cheaper.

@@magyarfull A budget is a budget, just because they CAN afford, doesn’t mean they HAVE to. If they set a boundary, or in this case a budget, they should respect it. In fact, consistently disrespecting a budget, could cause them to lose the sale completely. It might frustrate the customer to the point that they will take their business elsewhere

Sorry but I feel the consultant chose all the wrong dresses for Coco. She’s a stunning young bride to be and all the dresses she’s chose are more appropriate for middle age women.. it made her look older and frumpy, particularly the necklines. None of the dresses were particularly fitted; which is what she said she wanted. I’ll be surprised if she didn’t change her mind and returned the dress.

Indeed. Such a beauriful and very young bride and they showed her extremely old fashioned, typically worn by older women gowns. Maybe it's because the episodes are old? I doubt it. She looked gorgeous in everything and in the end it's her choice but imo, the dress was 2 old fashined and old for her.

Agreed, the Swan Lake dress with the feathers was the most flattering on her; I didn’t like the one she chose at all. Looked like it belonged on someone much older.

This show makes it seems like mermaid and princess are the only wedding dress styles that exist.

I really liked the second dress that Coco tried on. I feel like dresses with the tiered layering always get shot down, but the material was a little flowy and the scattered lace and embellishments on the skirt came together to quite beautifully and was a really romantic and youthful gown. Also, the bodice was stunning! The wrapped fabric mixed with the little feathers are a unique, delicate touch

@@longarmoftheOOHLALA for real. I have family and friends in multiple countries so if I want everyone to be able to come to my wedding some people will have to travel abroad. When I get married, if I can afford it, I plan to offer to pay for anyone who is travelling from another country for my wedding. If I can’t afford it I will still invite them because I would like them to attend but I would make a point that they do not have to come if it’s expensive for them or just required them to travel too far but if they still decide to come then they don’t need to bring a gift. I couldn’t imagine having a wedding far from where all my family and friends live and insist they all pay to come, get married in your home country then travel for your honeymoon.

I liked how both brides looked beautiful in their dress choices, which were special and unique.

The brides on this show and also the ones at Kleinfeld's all seem to try on the same style of dresses. Nothing stands out about any dress. Bring back Gok Wan, please! His choice of dresses is unique and he puts the brides in some stunning gowns...no run of the mill ones like these.

So many comments saying the first lady’s dress was too old for her, the sample is so big on her it looks matronly as is big in the wrong places.. in her size it’d be stunning and timeless.

She was stunning in all 3 dresses. Let her feel comfortable, it is her day after all

It's what the producer tells them to say. Not one of these shows is spontaneous....everyone is told where to sit, how to act, etc.

It's another episode of "it's not your wedding & she is the bride"🙄 I just wish that entourage that comes to a bridal appointment sticks with the bride's own vision for the brides day instead of sabotaging the appointment & ruining the bridal moment. The bride needs to be happy with her own choice for her wedding day & the entourage doesn't want that then they can stay at home & not go to the wedding.

Ann Bower These are heavily scripted. Here the consultant asks directly what the entourage would like to see her in. I've noticed that they often do. Entirely for drama, I'm sure.

Why do consultants ask the entourage what they like? Always cause problems.

A Bride wouldn't want a dress off the hanger from this shop, you can see all the threads have been pulled from others having tried them on. They can quickly become second hand looking.

With all of the dresses to choose from why on earth does she keep choosing ones that are ten sizes too big!?

I think she looked stunning in the first dress. I understood why she didn’t like the bottom, but I adored it.
