BRICS: THE BIGGEST THREAT TO THE WEST?!

For a long time emerging countries have had nowhere to go.
They have not had a place where their voice is truly heard, where they are seen as true partners. This is why four countries: Brazil, Russia, India, and China met in New York City in September 2006 to form what was earlier coined BRIC. South Africa joined as part of an expansion of the bloc in 2010 when the grouping became known as BRICS.
Six new members are now joining, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, Iran, Ethiopia, and Argentina. With these new influential members, BRICS+ will increase its agenda of common interests, shared economic value, and full respect for economic sovereignty.
What many get wrong about BRICS+ is that think that it is anti-G7 & thus anti-west. This thinking is flawed. The global south & east have not had much say in how they grow & prosper, but BRICS+ offers just that…
Choice!
What about the BRICS+ currency?
Starting up a new currency isn’t easy and it will be even harder for BRICS+ due to so many socio-economic divergences amongst the countries in the group. However, rather than pursuing a grand vision immediately, BRICS must look to take small steps.
What the BRICS strategy is really about is the improvement of the quality of life in BRICS+ countries, only through mutually beneficial groups can emerging economies truly ensure the prosperity of all population groups and future generations and that’s what this is about.
With all this in mind, is BRICS such a bad thing? Let me know what you think in the comments.

Really great to hear such a well formulated and informed talk. Thank you - it is time for Africa to dump the past and look to moving into the future where Africa starts to really use its wealth for its development of its own people in a co-operative and honest way. Established nations have used Africa as a raw material piggy-bank for far to long holding back development of Africa while enriching their own. We really need education that teaches our children to think for themselves and to give those children the tool they need to achieve their dreams. So much of our education is meaningless in today's world. Values such as honesty, integrity and self worth as well as safety and simple politeness need to be established for all and it starts with teaching our children!

Respect Vabasa. We appreciate the info. 1. BRICS is an alternative 2. The West is shaken 3. Hoping the different government systems won't affect the process. 4. Hope to see this process unfold within the next 10 years. You and the team may explore further on topics ranging from how we can get it right locally & internationally as S.A. with all the resources at our disposal. Furthermore with the current corruption do S.A. citizens understand we can change governments every 5 years.

BRICS is not an alternative to anything. Global power and economics doesn't work that way. The west is not shaken. It's not some sort of cabal lording over everyone else. It makes deals for mutual benefit with other countries, which is why nations like making deals with western nations and why they are so wealthy. BRICS is an attempt to be like OPEC to use its fuel and other resources to push around and dictate to the west. BRICS is not made up of victims or something like that. They're not standing up for themselves or something. it's simply hunger for power out of greed. At worst, the west doesn't understand why anyone would try to force anyone to their will out of greed when they can simply make mutually beneficial deals. The only reason western nations fought each other over wealth in the past was because there either wasn't enough to go around or they were being greedy. That situation changed long ago with America creating a global system that allows for a peaceful alternative. No one is going to come flocking to BRICS like some sort of abuse victim seeking shelter. Any nation that joins is in it purely out of greed, thinking it sees an opportunity to force unfavorable deals and bribes from western nations. Not only will this either not work or the sheer wealth of the west will ironically make BRICS dependent on the west, but it also means every single member of BRICS in the present and future will be looking to stab each other in the back for more power.

It's interesting to learn more about the discussions and proposals around BRICS nations and their potential use of gold. There are several reasons why people may choose to buy gold, including its historical use as a store of value and means of exchange, its potential as a hedge against inflation or currency devaluation, and its relative scarcity compared to other commodities.

Additionally, gold can offer diversification benefits to investment portfolios, as it tends to have a low correlation with other asset classes like stocks and bonds. However, it's important to note that investing in gold carries risks and may not be suitable for evervone. and investors should carefully consider their investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial situation before making any decisions

However, it is unclear how a new currency backed by gold would function in the current global financial system and whether it would gain widespread acceptance. Ultimately, any decision to create a new currency would be subject to numerous economic, political, and logistical considerations.

Investing in gold is a reliable choice, and I plan to keep buying more to make up for my losses. While silver is also a good investment, my collectibles are not as similar. It's important to have clear investment goals and educate yourself on the type of investment that interests you..That is why I work with Colleen Janie Towe, who introduced me to a better financial community, a verified organization where I learned how investing works and how to invest proficiently, as well as free books, courses, and daily lectures. You also get to meet new people, which was the best decision I ever made..

Thanks for your take on matters relating to BRICS. Another possible challenge for BRICS especially regarding SA is the possible outcome of next national elections. Should the ANC be brought down below 50% as some have speculated and the DA and its partners gain the upper hand. Then it wiĺl be goodbye to BRICS as their pro West stance is their cornerstone. Similar situations are possible with Argentina.

What an interesting time to be alive Watching this after the Penuel Show the Algorithm is on an agenda chief😅 Groetman le BRICS does bring a glimpse of hope to the Global South that i agree very much. 1)Question is where do we young gents and ladies sign up and contribute to this particular movement ? Because we already know we don't own the value chain so where does a young farmer from Bizana in rural Eastern Cape go to be apart of the Value chain ? Because the very same minority that own the value chain will benefit in the export and import trade. There is a lot of red tape my guy we can rejoice and be excited but have no actual impact the Eastern Cape has vast amount of arable land both communal and farm land. 2) Ndingakufumana phi Groetman ? We can have all this intellectual Masturbation bra but we need systems and implementation in place a.s.a.p

Thank you so much for the channel After I saw you on podcast and chill and on the Penuel show… search and was disappointed to find nothing so delighted to see this. Ok the BRICS conversion will forever rage on as opinions will always differ but what I’m truly excited about is to see that playing field maybe changing, creating possible parity or level playing ground, that with good intelligent African leadership we could see Africa rise up and take our place as a super power. No deal is ever honestly completely fair but the brics deals seems to be the better deal but my question is, will it change the economical landscape in South Africa specifically or will the wealthy white continue to win while the elite black who suckle at their feet continue to benefit? Like what does BRICS do for us as South Africa like the common man, coz jobs and food and shelter are still a need…

Ah kgruotman I've been waiting for this. Not only are you informing us but you give us an opportunity to think. Not going further from the topic, mina kgruotman the more I learn about economy the more I get emotional about the west. I don't think it's wrong to think of BRICS as an anti-G7. Most of the information we have is from watching Hollywud and whatever the west wants us to think. And it's annoying coz now their information is Biased. Making is think they are real, rich and resourceful. Invading countries and going unpunished. Wars that made them rich. The treatment, sanctions towards other countries, the loans they give desperate countries. How they control the market. Today we learn about 9/11 but not how they can start an Afghanistan war in it's name and no one can say anything... It's all bullying and even if we complain who would we complain to... Atleast now we have BRICS we can have an easier exchange of goods, disarming our bullies. I wish that currency will work.

Fully support ur channel 💯% & wish u the best..., brother man. Appreciate your time and effort on this piece but for me I'll learn much about BRICS+ in time, taking extra care & with no hype because having ppl like "Cyril💅Ramaphosa😺" involved in this makes me very skeptical 🧐 & less confident not unless he leaves office. I wonder, what's his involvement and input, does he make in BRICS? What a set of "stupid clever tricks his performing 🎭 🤡 at this time? Also, I wonder how much the Western global elites(enemies of ppl) have invested in China and BRICS?

Bro we need the country's youth more knowledgeable on what role theses political parties play in every day South Africans lives and why we need to participate in the next year's election.. Apart from BRICKS i think that's our most pressing issue as a country right now bro... We need to fix our internal affairs before we can even be concerned about what China has to offer...

For me, BRICS or BRICS+ it's good on paper. However, I am more fascinated by how everything is going to play out and when (In terms of timeline). And what's in it for us, I mean for a poor ordinary South Africa. Until that time I've nothing to say.

So here’s what I would like to understand, I’m not much of a fundi when it comes to financial issues and currencies. The UAE being part of BRICS, is it feasible for members of BRICS to buy crude oil at discounted rates from oil producing countries within BRICS and also not measuring the price of this resource with dollars seeing that BRICS is looking at an alternative currency? It would be interesting to know the answer to this because BRICS+ countries are looking at improving their constituents live’s right? That way it would decrease the cost of living in many ways. Is my thinking justified?
